The EAW FR153z 15" 3-Way Speaker Cabinet harnesses a 15" woofer, 6-1/2" midrange cone, and 18" HF driver on a Wave Guide Plate to produce full, even tone with perfect coverage of all frequencies. EAW's FR Speaker Series is designed for musicians and DJs who play small-to-medium-sized venues and require highly accurate sound but don't have a lot of capital. 18-ply-to-the-inch Baltic birch construction with durable polyurethane coating and ergonomically placed handles make these EAW cabs long-lasting and easy to move. Professional quality transducers, complex asymmetrical crossover slopes, and internal passive filters provide amazingly accurate sound. Works with the FR250z subwoofer polemount base to create an instant full-range PA. 500W handling. 2 parallel Neutrik NL4 Speakon connectors. 20"W x 25"H x 20"D. 79 lbs.

  • the EAW FR153z is amazing

    The EAW FR153z speakers are amazing. I have a Crown Macro-Tech 3600vz running them. The bottom end and mids/highs of these speakers are so well defined, If i could leave descriptive words that would accurately present How they sound, It would be "they add accurate color to the sound without overcompensation". They also love power but are very efficent. It is rare that you could compare the sound quality of PA speakers to studio monitors but I can honestly say that these do. Well worth the investment. I would love to get the matching subs with them in the future.

  • Small Size with LARGE SOUND!

    I have 2 sets of these and can tell you that by far the sound is crisp, clear, clean and almost unbelievable! I had the option of purchasing the LA325 which is somewhat equal to a set of these in one cabinet. But because of the weight and size I decided to go with two sets of these instead leaving me easier set up with the weight of each speaker, and the option to down size for smaller venues. IF your looking for BIG sound in a small box look no further because this is it! IF you need LARGE size and better ability to seperate the mix 3 way then go with the LA325 which can be Bi-amped and push harder, but twice the price and weight. Anyway you go as long as you choose EAW you will never be dissappointed! Eastern Acoustic Works is the bomb!
