I own this product and use it in my studio for hooking up my hardware controls to software like reasons and fl studios to make beats.E-MU Xmidi 1X1 USB MIDI interface does work perfect!! The only thing that I had a problem with was the short cord that it comes with. If you own a big studio you might want to get a USB extention.Other than that the software is easy to install and with FL studio you don?t even have to install it.

Easy to use...

I just got this EMU XMidi 1x1 interface primarily for use in Linux. The XMidi 1x1 needs absolutely no software drivers to work, and is USB powered as well. The XMidi 1x1 is automatically detected in Linux under JACK Audio and ALSA, and can be seen by other applications as well. The quality is good, and the interface has built in LED lights as visual indicators that allow you to monitor power, Midi In and Midi Out. Very easy to use: Just plug it in and your ready to go! =]

Works Great!

I bought this midi interface because I wanted to link an old cheap Casio keyboard to my computer and control my Reason software. Problem was, the Casio only had the old style midi connections. This E-mu unit converts the old midi style to usb. I plugged it in and it works great, no hic-cups in the signal. Definately worth the money.

E-MU is THE answer for using Yamaha P-70 with GarageBand on MAC

I was frustrated with two other interfaces (i.e. Yamaha UX16 and Edirol) before ordering this E-MU interface. It works beautifully with my Yamaha P-70 keyboard controller connected via USB to a MacBook Pro for recording in GarageBand and Logic Pro Studio. Many others are frustrated (according to numerous blogs), but this interface works PERFECT!

Works Perfect

This USB MIDI cable is very good. All you have to do is jst put the cd in install the software, and plug the cable in, that simple. I used it for FL Studio, and when i installed the software, I pluged in the cable my keyboard and then to my computer, and clicked on FL Studio, and everything was already setup for me. So for FL Studio users, you can trust it will work.
