  • Not ready for prime time (or 64-bit)

As reviewed by Trevor on 5/25/2011

Just added this to a brand new studio PC running Windows 7 64-bit. Then I find out the drivers for Windows 7 are still in beta form. I don't know if that is what's causing DAW issues or not, however, I can say that even just for listening to music, it comes out heavily compressed if not distorted just using something like Winamp. I haven't found any way to fix that issue. I also got this because I already have the E-MU 1616m PCM/CIA for my older laptop. I wanted to connect the breakout box as well as use the 0202 card that comes with the 1212. However, you can't do that, so I can't make use of all of the ins and outs these two give me. One would think a software patch could fix that, but oh well. So it's good, but until they have a stable Win7 64-bit driver, it's a coin toss for "value".

  • Garbage

As reviewed by BLiTZ on 9/16/2010

I purchased this Card hoping that it would improve sound quality, and it did make the sound a lot better but recording on uit is another story, the inputs read that the volume is there but when you record your voice is very low, also the drivers keeps uninstalling them selves, and you have to manually fix all the input channels because their set to play lound and peak right out the gate, i personally would spend a lil bit more and buy a firewire device that is 24 bit 192.

  • easy and great sound...

As reviewed by ggmisadmin on 2/11/2011

Finally compatible with W 7 64 bit... I use this card mostly for its ADAT connection in sync with a digital preamp (ADA8000) and it sounds great! Record with any DAW software and you get the best sound out of it. For that price, you should really go for....
