The E-Mu 0404 V3 PCIe Digital Audio System is the PCI Express version of E-Mu's Digital Audio System. The 0404 boasts a new high speed PCI Express 1 lane interface that can run at 400 megabytes per second and can transfer data 4 times faster than standard PCI in both directions simultaneously. By using a compact 1 lane PCI Express interface, the E-Mu Digital Audio System PCIe cards have the high speed necessary for multi-channel audio transfer, compatibility with new high speed Windows PC motherboards, while allowing full compatibility with 1, 4, 8 and 16 lane PCI Express slots. The Digital Audio System software and drivers are compatible with Windows Vista, Windows Vista x64, Windows XP and XP x64.
