I really like these....

I've been mixing on these for 3+ years and I still love them! I recently built a 2nd studio and equipped it with PMC TB1's, but after a week on the TB1's I think I'm going to buy another set of the BM5's. The BM5's have a non fatiging quality when used at decent volumes. There is a small mid scoop on the Bm5's, but all my mixes have translated wonderfully! The previous poster is correct about amplification. I power mine with a Hafler P1000 and they work lovley together! I highly recommend these speakers!

A good choice if you have a reliable power amp

These are very usable studio monitors. They are find-tuned with the latest Dynaudio technology. I have found that they are very flat providing an accurate representation of the project. I was able to hook these up in my studio and get great accurate representations of our projects in minutes. They are built well and they are a good value for the price. I use them with a Peavey power amp and I did not get any unwanted noise. If you have a good power amp these may be the monitors for you.
