Overview

The Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah must be one of the toughest, meanest wah pedals on the planet. Built from the ground up with great tone and rugged durability in mind, the Zakk Wylde pedal can stand up to the crushing stomp of metal's reigning king of lead guitar. The Wylde Cry Baby Wah is crafted with a heavy-duty raw-metal casing and roadworthy components to withstand years of abuse. With guts that have been finely tuned to Zakk's specs, including the Fasel inductor, the Dunlop Cry Baby wah is specially voiced to deliver extra-thick and cutting tone. You can power you Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby with a 9V battery or the Dunlop ECB-003 AC adapter

After reading reviews and playing the classic crybaby, 535Q, and Kirk Hammett signature, I was going to buy the Kirk Hammet. I then realized i didnt have enough money, so i bought this one (my next option). I had yet to play it, and I have to say i am extremely happy i bought it. The sweep is excellent, and the adjustable rocker is amazing. I would totally buy it again. Really, buy this if you want a serious crybaby

I bought this wah a year ago because it was on sale and a lot of artist I like use it and swear by it. I never liked it the highs are weak and to low is so low it's more like a volume pedal! I'd been trying it with different set ups and nothing, so I was gonna sell it till I watch a vid of a guy opening up a crybaby gcb95 and moving the pot back so it wasn't as harsh so I did the opposite with this I turn the pot forward all the way and now this thing sounds like a beast!! It's made its first appearance on my pedalboard! If you play metal or hard rock stick with the original crybaby or try something else!!! Unless your ready to open it up it's sound is useless!

Best Wah Pedal On The Market!

      By Caman Patterson

      from Sanford,NC

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

The Zakk Wylde Wah is the most versatile wah out there. The frequency range is low and always ready to go! The sweep is incredible and the stiffness on the pedal movement is adjustable. I play metal, rock, and christian and I've yet to run into a riff written with wah that this wah won't suffice! The harmonic overtones are terrific and every Zakk song I play with it, it always makes me feel like I am playing on the record . The sound is that close! This wah pedal is a great pedal for a reasonable price. You won't find a better pedal!

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

I've tried several wahs (mostly dunlop), and the ZW-45 simply has the widest frequency sweep, to my ears. There are features out there that I would really like (Morley's LED activation; it's nice not having to click the button in and out of each use... a notch button to hold a particular frequency in... LEDs to indicate when it's on and off, etc.), but my priority is in how it sounds. I also had to re-solder a few joints in the circuit board's power traces. However, I love the tones so much and how much I can make my guitar scream, that I've repaced all my wahs (different setups for home, rehearsal, and live rigs) with the zw-45. Bottom line, nothing else I've ever tried stands up to it.

      Zack Wylde Pedal Review

      By Matthew Corsino

      from New York

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

Honestly i don't reccomned this pedal for hard rock and metal playing because the sound gets lost in the mix of overdrive. At first when you get the pedal the sound is really strong but after like a month it starts to fade away I say get this pedal only if you have an overdrive pedal to go with it if not i say get a pedal with knobs to adjust the volume of the wah like the slash/jerry cantrell/ and dimebag wah from dunlop or mark tremonit/ steve vai wah's with the wah boost volume
The Pedal is pretty basic no knob to increase the wah sound but its pretty simple to use. Its got a sweet crybaby sound for metal and hardrock which is perfect because thats the type of style I like to play.
The wah sound is pretty good when you play on a clean chanel it sounds really good especially with the flanger effect on an amp but when its comes to playing with overdrive you may want to reconsider buying this pedal because the wah sound gets lost in the mix and sounds too low it would be better if it had the knobs to increase the wah volume and range like the slash wah pedal.
Its an ok pedal but if you really want some awesome sounds i reccomend getting the zack wylde overdrive pedal to make sure that the crybaby sound doesn;t get lost in your playing.

As Metal as it comes and can still please Bootsy Collins

      By Keith Kanter

      from Michigan

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

A visually pleasing pedal that can play in metal and with a surprising amount of funk as well. Its Like a Hendrix clone on steroids. An amazing wah, may be the best out there, especially for the money
The Features may be the oe place that you can fault this pedal. It has asthetic flair and is pretty cool in terms of presets. However, there is no way to alter the sweep range or anthing like that (like on the Jerry Cantrel Wah). Just try it before you buy it, this pedal wont be for everyone, especially if you like to tweak and customize sound in the most anal manner, but this pedal will be for most people.
This pedal is built super tough and clean looking. ENOUGH SAID!
If you can get this pedal on sale or used its an amazing deal. I found mine new on sale for an amazing price for any signature wah, especially one with this capability.

      Good pedal

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

I love Zakk, I have two of his other pedals. However I don't feel like this WAH is as good as the Kirk Hammett one I have. The Travel on the Zakk one seems short, and I don't notice the huge difference of the wah from one end to the other. Chris

      My 4th signature crybaby

      By Pat mclean

      from Attleboro mass

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

Well normally I don't give bad reviews on stuff but I was pretty dissapointed with this pedal. The first one I ordered was broken when it got to my house... So I took it back to the store and ordered another one... I was itching to try it so I asked them if I could try the used one they had there and that one was broken too... Well any way so it finally came in and it does have an ok sound but the pedal is all low end and is very limited on what you can do with it. Like if you play bulls on parade it sounds perfect... And if you play lower notes it's sound very drastic in a kinda cool way.... But I put it next to my dime crybaby from hell turned the knob all the way to the low frequency on the dime and IMO they sounded exactly the same. After going back and forth for awhile between the two I could hear no difference. So what I'm getting at is if you like the sound of this wah or want a wah with a ton of low end get the dime crybaby because it's way more versatile then this and you can make it sound exactly the same. Plus the dime crybaby you can get craZy high end or almost any sound you want out of that pedal.. This pedal does have a killer finish and is built like a tank. But I would say only buy this if your a hugs zakk fan and want it as a collectors item.. Otherwise buy the crybaby from hell and you won't be dissapointed ;)

if you play metal look no further

      By geoff

Comments about Dunlop ZW-45 Zakk Wylde Signature Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

im a massive wah fanatic, iv reasearched and played many wahs over the years. now im a total metal head and thats my main style of music and this wah is absolutly perfect for it, its like the standard metal wah, the classics and originals got me that nice classic feel but when i turned up the gain i couldnt get that sound i was looking for, this wah solved all that. its a straight forward cast iron wah, no BS, its a true wah through and through, it has more bottom end for thick throatty bass tones, and high screaming highs. so an extended sweep means you got a wider selection for your tone, it handles the biggest amounts of distortion with ease and cuts through it all like its nothing. get the gain and wah sound with no compromise, you can even mix it up where you want it in the chain for diffrent sounds. put it at the begining for a true classic wah feel with no signal clashings or do like i do and put some fuzz octave and distortion before it and click it on and listen to the wall of sound flow. like a tidal wave of metal. also even if you arnt a metal head you can turn the gain off and still get a bluesy clean feel out of it. its extended sweep breaths new life into clean wah sounds. play voodoo child with wider notes then everbefore. what ever your style this wah will compliment it but if your a metal head this wah is the only one youl need
