Overview

Dunlop Stainless Steel Bass Strings deliver the consistency, durability and versatility that bass players demand from their strings. Dunlop bass strings offer traditionalists, slappers, and pick-wielding rockers cutting midrange, wide bottom end and a growl that will cut through any band. Carefully selected core-to-wrap ratios yield a low-tension string with an extremely long life, and minimal break-in time. Each Dunlop string set is exceptionally well balanced string-to-string, and provides an amazing amount of dynamic range.

Comments about Dunlop Stainless Steel Medium 5 String Bass Strings:

After buying the set, get home to discover the non-tapered (?) B-string won't even fit in the bridge. Huh? Who doesn't taper B-strings? Apparently Dunlop. Even if it could fit in the bridge there's a reason GOOD B-strings are tapered - having all that mass at your point of contact on the saddle kills your tone and sustain, so if that's your thing by all means go Dunlop kind of annoyed now because of course I've already cut and put on the other 4 strings, so we'll see what they say about it tomorrow.
