I recently found your 8 gauge strings and bought and played them. They were wonderful. I have played for 50 years and love light gauge strings. I have a little arthritus in my hands and They are easier to play. I went to buy some more and saw the 7 gauge. I put them on two Of my guitars today and played for hours. These are the most incredible strings I have ever played. You can pull them - yank them - bend them so far it is unbelievable. And they stay in tune. I play the blues and I am as fast as I was when I was younger with these strings. I will never Play anything else. Thank you for letting me play like I was young again. Thank you Billy Gibbons.

I thought I would take the challenge as I was having a bit of pain in my fretting hand. I tried a couple sets on my Tele and yes they are easy to fret. After adjusting the intonation, action and pickup heights, the things just were too weak sounding on the treble strings. This alone was enough for me to decide to go back to heavier gauge strings but these strings DO break. Twice I had the high E string break when having a full step bend. These were the first strings I broke since '89.

Comments about Dunlop Reverend Willy's Electric Guitar String Set - Extra Light:

Awesome sound from such small strings! I got the .7s for my wife and she loves them. I play as well and the strings are awesome sounding. Fretting so light you barely have to push! Although if you press to hard makes notes sharp. A slide is not recommended. But if you try it sounds pretty cool. Would buy again but might opt for the .9s or .11s. A little too light for my liking but my wife loves them. Overall great sounding, extra light, ultra fast strings for anyone. For best results you need to re setup your guitar if your swapping string sizes. And wouldn't hurt to recheck every now and then.

Everybody says you can't get the Rev's tones using light strings. Everybody be wrong. Why don't you trust the Rev to shoot it to you straight?

      What's not to like?

      By Jonathon

      from Corvallis Oregon

Comments about Dunlop Reverend Willy's Electric Guitar String Set - Extra Light:

Amazing how much this changed my world - why work any harder - tone is totally there, bends are amazingly easy, as is vibrato. I just bought 4 more sets and am changing all my guitars over - even 8's I don't particularly care for any more. Don't let anyone tell you you need heavy strings for good tone - it simply ain't true - these things sound sparkly.

Comments about Dunlop Reverend Willy's Electric Guitar String Set - Extra Light:

It is so close to not having strings at all. Tonal quality is very nice. Bending a piece of cake. I use all three sizes for different guitars. They are tough to be so thin. If you are worried about them breaking and I have only had one pop out of thirty to forty packs. Tune them a half step down if it concerns you. They handle slide playing well too.
