For the simplest and cheapest Dunlop wah out on the market, this thing can hold its own against the higher end more advanced models. This pedal will do exactly what you expect, deliver great wah tones. In the treble position you can get a nice biting tone, and as you let up, you get a fuzzy yet focused sound. I've had this wah for 6 months and have had no problems with it, and have only replaced the battery once. If you unplug the pedal from your rig when you're not using it, the life is greatly increased. The pedal is also mad of some tough stuff, and i've had no problems with it after it's endured the trunk of the car in both the northern biting snow storms and the indiana sun. Overall, you really can't go wrong with this wah. It does exactly what you want from it, without spending the extra cash on the other models. Highly recommended.

I got the crybaby for Christmas, and it sounded great... for the first day that is. The next day, it broke! The button stopped clicking so i couldnt turn it on. I returned it to Guitar Center and they gave me a replacement, and the replacement was great too, but then about 1 week after that I had the same problem with the pedal not clicking. Also, I wasn't abusing the pedal. This is not a durable pedal at ALL, the only upside is that it sounds good.

Only necessary pedal

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This is the only pedal you will ever need. I just bought one and have not played my guitar without it since. For $70 you really get alot. No other pedal is absolutely necessary, but no serious guitarist should play without one of these.

The Best Wah

By nstrat01

from Denver, CO

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This is a wah wah pedal that I have had for a few months now. I enjoy it a lot and it creates a great tone. I have played a Stratocaster through it and it sounds great. A wah pedal does not need to have a lot of different settings to sound great. This wah pedal is perfect other than the feet being too big on mine. I had to trim them down but that wasn?t a big deal. Overall, great, classic wah tone.

great buy

By tyler

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

If you are looking for a good pedal and dont have much money this is the one to get. This wah pedal makes a great sound. The same type of pedal used as many famous rockers, such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and David Gilmore of Pink Floyd. Only difference between this and more expensive ones are the variable knobs on the side.

Great Buy!

By tietjen

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

Dunlop Original Crybaby Wah Pedal. I toured with this pedal for about 2 years. Sounds great, plays great, just great all around. I like it for the person on the budget. The only issue I had was that the pot began to crackle after about 250 hours of use and 2 years of pedal board wear.

Can't beat the original!

By Kyle

from Atlanta, GA

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

You don't need any signature series wah pedals, all you need is the Dunlop Original Crybaby! There's just no sense in dropping a bunch of money for all the fancy bells and whistles on all the other wahs when they probably can't produce as much as this pedal can. Just a guitar in, guitar out, and AC adapter on this thing. It also comes with a 9V battery place in this thing, but I'd get the adapter if I were you. Also, if you put this pedal as a part of your pedal board, put this at the front of it because if you put it behind all your gain-based effects and maybe a multi-effects pedal, all the other pedals will suck the tone out of this Crybaby, but it sounds incredible putting it in the front of the chain and does NOT suck tone from any of your other pedals. Gotta love it!

great pedal

By Charlie

from Des Moines, Iowa

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This is a great pedal especially for the price. It sounds like Jimi Hendrix. Don't waste your money on a signature pedal, because this one sounds just as good except a lot cheaper. The only thing is, that instead of using a battery, buy the adapter. It sounds better and lasts longer.

Great Pedal

By Rich P.

from Charleston, SC

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

I bought this pedal once it went on sale and chose this pedal based on it's history. I love the tones this pedal produces, when playing old Hendrix or Cream songs, you can set the pedal for those funky harmonics. I love this pedal, easy to use and better yet for the price you can't beat this pedal in craftsmanship and sound quality.

AWESOME PEDAL

By McGlone

from Lexington, Kentucky

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This is a great pedal that will rock your socks off. Dunlop definitely did a great job on this pedal. If you get a bad grit sound from the wah when it is used with distortion, that can be solved by placing it before your distortion. It sounds good with delay or distortion or both. Great for funk if it is used clean. I got the 1 spot power daisy chain thing to power it and I have yet to see any problems. I am running it with an Epi G400 and a Digitech RP 90 and it sounds great through my Line 6 spider 2 15 watt amp. Highly recommend the pedal. True bypass works great too.

Classy Wah

By Macman

from Austin, TX

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

I have owned a number of Wahs over the years but the Original Crybaby is my fave. I use it through a marshall amp with both my les paul and strat and it is great. The sweep range is not as wide as some othe wah?s on the market. So check that out before you buy. For me I love the classic Hendrix sound and that is easily achievable with this pedal. Just try the intro to Voodoo Chile on this. The newer pedals have an easier access to the battery so no having to remove screws anymore. Go out try this pedal.

Dunlop Wah Pedal - A great Buy

By Crimson*

from La Habra, CA

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

I just recently purchased this wah pedal and I have been very pleased with it. Some of the pedals I have bought have caused loss in sound quality, but with this pedal that is not the case at all. This pedal is extremely smooth and easy to use. I found myself playing solos that use the wah pedal the very first day i bought it and was amazed with the sound. This is an awesome wah pedal for anyone of any skill level.

Great, completely unreliable tone

By RyVi

from Burlington MA

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

Hey, this had a great sound for the first month. If we were basing it off of that, this would get six stars. But the second month of owning this product made me aware that these were marketed wrong: instead of buying the Dunlop Original Crybaby Wah Pedal, i was buying the Dunlop Disposable Crybaby Wah pedal. So i got another. But i had the same problem.

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This pedal had a really cool sound to it and it?s really good for the price. I have owed it for 3 years and its still working really well. Imp more of a death metal person but this makes an exception for all of that.

AWESOME!

By Trae

from Oklahoma City, OK

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

1st off i am a long time dunlop/digitech user and i have to say dunlop does NOT fool around when they make equipment! This is probably the best of the best. I've had a Crybaby Wah For a really long time. and i bought a new one just to see how they differ. and i have to say Dunlop has kept the great quality that we all love for the longest time! you will most likely never have any trouble with any of their pedals. they are built to last and built to shred. My advice BUY A DUNLOP!

Great for the money

By Justin

from Manassas, Virgnia

Comments about Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah Pedal:

This wah has a pretty good sound for the price. No adjustments of any kind, though. So you are stuck with the same sound forever or until you upgrade to a better wah. The reason I decided to mark this at 2 stars is because both me and my friend got this pedal around the same time. And around the same time they both broke. Something came loose in both pedals and now the control is shot so that it doesn't change in sound for the most part anymore. It is a decent pedal besides that little problem. It may be a better investment to get something like the Dimebag Wah from hell. Although about twice as expensive, it feels much higher in quality than this one.
