I've tried many picks before including the big stubbies, gel picks, and the tortex picks. None of those, in my opinion, measure up to the standard nylons. I don't think I've ever dropped one, and never had one break on me (after about 2 years so far). My hands sweat when I play, so the gels and stubbies slip out of my fingers sometimes, but not the nylons. They stay firm in my hand. Of course, personal preference of thickness will vary, but I find these to be the best out of all the Dunlop family.

I have had previous experience with these textured, plastic picks felt that they would be great in the setting where my acoustic guitar is amplified and I am co-accompanying singers with a pianist. If you don't want your sound up-front and center, these are great. Instead of purchasing these and the .38's, I probably should had gotten ones a few thicknesses heavier since I don't hear or feel a significant difference between these and the former. I also would had preferred if these were offered as a bag of all available thicknesses.

A must have pick.

By elgie1982

from Lake Station, IN

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

It lasts almost forever and it doesn't slip off your hand with its grooves. I swear this the last pick I'll ever use. I'm using the same pick I bought almost 6 months ago.

All-Around Pick

By Rocker

from Saratog, NY

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

This pick is amazing in every aspect, the grip on the pick is helpful for gripping so it doesn't slip, it also prevents from he pick getting to sticky while you're playing. I prefer the .88mm or 1.0mm picks because it has less of that pick sound when you're playing. I just bought the 72 1.0mm pack and they're amazing. These will last a long time.

The best I know of

By Kevin

from Virgina

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

The Best! I prefer the 73's or 88's for playing steal stringed acoustic. 73's are an excellent strumming pick, and still have enough impact to run the scales, they don't catch the strings, silky smooth sound. Sometime I prefer the 88's when a song has more picking then strumming. 60's are very nice too, but not so good for playing scales, a little too flexible for my taste, anyone that likes a very ۡ̏soft touchۡݕ_ sound might like 60's. The 73's have a nice flex and still pretty good for running scales. Smooth sound, but might not be bright enough for some, if you plan on running scales or like less flex with the smooth play go with the 88's or 1mm.. The 88's still have some flex, but not much. I have not found a better pick then these!!! Iۡm always looking, but canۡt put these down. Try them!

The Super Pick

By Crossing Fate- Les Paul

from Taunton, mass

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

Wheather you play mellow acustic of heavy electric guitar thes picks are perfect. It's got nice good grip that holds, they dont wear out for months. They've got a huge selection of thicknesses. personally I like th 46mm cus they are perfect for the ultra fast strumming power chords. I also like the 60mm for alternate picking. Great Pick!!

Superior performer

By Jay Gould _

from Hidden Valley Lake, CA

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

As a long time Fender pick user, I found these to be superior. No slipping with plenty of action. Also, long, long lasting. Took me forever to wear down the pick tip. I have never had one break. Would like more color differentiation in the various thicknesses so they can be quickly picked out on a dark platform.

Great Picks!

By Dulcimerist

from Billings, MT

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

What all can one say about a pick? I exclusively use Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Picks, as they work great for me! (I generally use the .60mm for the mountain dulcimer.) The texturing makes them easy to hold, they provide a much better sound than plastic picks, they're durable, and they're quite inexpensive! What more could one ask for in a pick? These Dunlop picks are sweet, and I highly recommend them!

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

I found a .73mm of these picks on the floor at the movies, and that was 3 months ago. I use it all the time, and it hasn't worn down at all. Its the best pick ive ever come across.

You could chew on 'em...

By 'Dullboy' Martin

from Warren, Michigan

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

I have used these picks for years. Tried and true. I play electric guitar, and these babies don't slip, they don't break, and the 1mm style sounds great to me. You be the judge, though... get some!

Dunlop Picks-The Best!

By Alan

from Houston, TX

Comments about Dunlop Nylon Standard Guitar Pick:

I've been using the Dunlop .73MM for over 4 years now, and let me tell you-I still have my first .73MM that I got.(It shrunk, but didn't break!) These will forever be my choice of picks and will be yours too. The grip is helpful in case you get sweaty hands or need to hold on to your pick for those fast runs or picking on guitar. Trust me: these picks don't break at all! Good news there! I recommend it!
