For a while I was using a Zakk Wylde signature Wah my friend gave me but I was getting displeased with the tone of it. Then on my 16th birthday my parents got me the Hendrix Wah pedal and as soon as I plugged it in, I was in love. It has as rich tone and is very versatile pedal! I play in an Grunge/Punk/Alt band and i use this pedal in every solo and also to produce some spacey sounds with my delay. I also play a bit of blues and it fits in perfectly. I recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a solid wah. It wont let you down at all!

I just tried the JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal, There were quite a few things I didn't like. First there isn't much tonal range in the wah, you'll never get that screaming toe down sound jimi gets from this wah. Second, in the heel down position the first quarter of the pedals movement does nothing, I've tried this wah with a few guitars, single coil and humbucker pickups and it's dead. Third, when the pedal reaches the spot where the wah kicks in there is an audible pop which isn't good for recording or could be very loud when playing live, even after cleaning it the pop is still there. Fourth, the actual On/Off switch triggers to easily, and could turn the wah off if your playing an energetic solo. Fifth, It maybe true bypass, but this wah will lower guitars output volume. Sixth, the AC jack is very recessed and your AC adapter fit all the way in. What can I say, I'm returning this Wah for sure.

Great Wah!!!

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

I find this wah is a very well constructed, durable, and has a lot of expression. Up until now I have been playing using a BOSS GT-3, and the wah settings on there have been more than useless. The step up I took purchasing this is amazing. The tone sounds just like Hendrix and feels like him too. I recommend having this or a Vox V847A as your main wah.

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

This thing can make pretty much anything sound good. But there should be a knob to control output of the effect. I recommend this to anybody who has a guitar.

Got Hendrix?

By Woodstrat

from Santiago, Dominican Republic

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

Well my current rig cosists in a Standard Strat (Mexican) which I've customized the heck off. I installed some Fender CS 69 Pickups, change the internal cap,and swamp the bridge for a Callaham Assembly. I also have a MI Audio Cruch Box (to get that british rock tone) a Fulltone Octafuzz and a Fender Blues Junior. Once you have the right ingredients then you can use this pedal and get some righteous Hendrix Tones. It's true, on the toe up position you get sort of a muted tone, specialy on the b and high e strings, but it's got an agressive and very wide mids section, which in my opinion promotes a pronounced wah effect when you move from toe to heel position. It's not true bypass, but I did not noticed much tone sucking, it's my undestanding that this wah has a buffer section which addresses that issue. I'd say that if you have a decent vintage inspired tube amp, something to drive the amp and again a strat with vintage pickups, you should be able to do some hendrix wah work. No need to break the wallet to get a V846. This wah it's tolerable for the budgetary challanged. It is a good deal. Remember you are paying for the Hendrix Tone (Which is a Science itself), not features. One last thing, I urge you to find a place where you can turn your amp up and good (and it's been hard for me), but once you do you will notice that this wah delivers!

More than just a Hendrix Sig

By Michael B.

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

In my 30+ years of studying music one of the sounds that had always got me electrified was the Wah Wah Pedal. I've owned many pedals from different manufacturers and vintages. The most memorable was my first which was an original Thomas Organ Co. with a sweet sound that I've been chasing after since losing it. I wasn't impressed with these newer breed of Dunlop signature Wah Wahs like the Dimebag or even the Slash sigs. But this JH-1B has a very special vocal quality. The pedal is whisper quiet with no hissing or pops when engaged. The bypass switch activates with a very light touch. All of the visible aesthetics are pleasing with the chrome top and the Italian crincle paint and the white gasket around the base. Even if this wasn't a Hendrix signiture I would have bout it just for the beauty of the sound and quality.

simply amazing

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

My best friend owns a Jimi Hendrix wah wah pedal and it is amazing. I will sometimes hook it up to my bass and go at it plating the step up for Hey Joe and many others. I don't have any complaints except for they're so hard to find.
