For a while I was using a Zakk Wylde signature Wah my friend gave me but I was getting displeased with the tone of it. Then on my 16th birthday my parents got me the Hendrix Wah pedal and as soon as I plugged it in, I was in love. It has as rich tone and is very versatile pedal! I play in an Grunge/Punk/Alt band and i use this pedal in every solo and also to produce some spacey sounds with my delay. I also play a bit of blues and it fits in perfectly. I recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a solid wah. It wont let you down at all!

I just tried the JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal, There were quite a few things I didn't like. First there isn't much tonal range in the wah, you'll never get that screaming toe down sound jimi gets from this wah. Second, in the heel down position the first quarter of the pedals movement does nothing, I've tried this wah with a few guitars, single coil and humbucker pickups and it's dead. Third, when the pedal reaches the spot where the wah kicks in there is an audible pop which isn't good for recording or could be very loud when playing live, even after cleaning it the pop is still there. Fourth, the actual On/Off switch triggers to easily, and could turn the wah off if your playing an energetic solo. Fifth, It maybe true bypass, but this wah will lower guitars output volume. Sixth, the AC jack is very recessed and your AC adapter fit all the way in. What can I say, I'm returning this Wah for sure.

Incredible Petal

By Bobby Branam

from Indianapolis, IN

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

It's like multiple petals in one. After just clicking the toe down, you're suddenly in Hendrix World and you have that great Hendrix sound that makes you wanna play his Star Spangled Banner immediately! Mine was a tiny bit rough going back and forth at first, but it got smoother fast. The wah effect is really unique, and i've yet to find any product that brings out the hendrix like this one does! To top it off, it has a really cool vintage look to it, kinda like a vox wah, but better, and on the back of it, there's an awesome black & white picture of him. That's the whipped cream and cherry on the already perfect milkshake! The gear I use with it is a Fender 212 DSP and a strat. It's a must-buy for any musician who loves hendrix, the guitar, and playing hendrix on the guitar. Plus, the box it comes in looks awesome as well! Hit the feed, bros!

A Must Have for All Strat Players!

By Jimmy

from Grand Blanc, MI

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

I've tried several wah pedals and this is by far the best sounding wah pedal I've heard on a Fender Strat! This baby will really make your guitar come alive! The Dunlap pedals are very good quality. I've been using one now for several years and I've not had a single problem with it!

More than just a Hendrix Sig

By Michael B.

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

In my 30+ years of studying music one of the sounds that had always got me electrified was the Wah Wah Pedal. I've owned many pedals from different manufacturers and vintages. The most memorable was my first which was an original Thomas Organ Co. with a sweet sound that I've been chasing after since losing it. I wasn't impressed with these newer breed of Dunlop signature Wah Wahs like the Dimebag or even the Slash sigs. But this JH-1B has a very special vocal quality. The pedal is whisper quiet with no hissing or pops when engaged. The bypass switch activates with a very light touch. All of the visible aesthetics are pleasing with the chrome top and the Italian crincle paint and the white gasket around the base. Even if this wasn't a Hendrix signiture I would have bout it just for the beauty of the sound and quality.

Blast from the Past

By H. Ellis

from Jamaica Plain, MA

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

I bought the Dunlop JH Signature Wah Pedal for my 15 year old step-son and he is over the moon. The sounds coming from his basement "studio" are truly amazing. He has already aced "Purple Haze" and is working on "Little Wing." The pedal not only sounds amazing, its retro aluminum casing is a work of art.

Sounds just like Hendrix

By Alex

from San Francisco, California

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

If you like the sound of Jimi's wah pedal in the songs "Voodoo Child (Slight Return), and "All Along the Watchtower" (the solo), you'll definitely get a kick out of this pedal. It has that sweet sound that you can't find anywhere else. If you're looking for wah pedals, be sure to give this a try even if you don't like Jimi Hendrix. The only problem I encountered was that the pedal would ocasionally squeak. But I managed to solve that problem with a little lubricant. Try this pedal today!

very nice

By bluesman87

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

beautiful wah tones. extremely transparent. honestly, I'm not the world's biggest Jimi fan. He's great, but his stuff doesn't thrill me like some others. that being said, you don't have to even like jimi to love this wah. I picked this one based on a recommendation by the kid at the counter and boy was he right. Clean amp... fun and funky. Overdriven amp... Jimi. High gain amp... searing wah leads. I've played other wahs and even other Dunlops and felt like they were taking away not adding, but they got this one right.

simply amazing

By Ben Jordan

from Evansville Indiana

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

My best friend owns a Jimi Hendrix wah wah pedal and it is amazing. I will sometimes hook it up to my bass and go at it plating the step up for Hey Joe and many others. I don't have any complaints except for they're so hard to find.

Comments about Dunlop JH1D Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah Pedal:

This thing can make pretty much anything sound good. But there should be a knob to control output of the effect. I recommend this to anybody who has a guitar.
