Accuracy and tone are two key elements Dunlop took into consideration when designing the JD Jazztone 208 guitar picks. Developed specifically for the Jazz guitarist, these picks deliver great tone and speed for any player who needs to play FAST! JD Jazztones, with a super gripping surface, are non-flexible, are great for speed and have a precision contoured edge to ensure a smooth release.

In agreeing with the other 2 reviews. This pick can also be used for rhythm and softer, warmer strumming. By turning the pick around in your hand, to use the rounder side of the pick. This takes the bite out of the strings and lets you glide more smoothly across the strings for chords and arpeggios playing. So you have the best of both worlds. the articulation and speed of the pointer tip. And the smoother rounded edges for the softer tones. Plus the material they use? Has a very comfortable grip to it. So I don't drop the pick while turning it in my hand to do this trick. All for less than $4.00.
Like my fellow revewer I find a slite prob strumming--the sound lacks a bit of a percussive clik, but these picks more than make up for that by providing a kind of mechanical advantage that's addictive. They allow an effortless sorta hydroplane-ing over the strings, granted without a nice snapping sound, but it's like putting oil on the stuck gear--which is your recalitrant chops! I think we have to use different picks, not just one. So get a pick holder and if possible use a flatter thinner pick for rithim and this thing for lead. Get quick on the draw and you got all bases covered!
I have been playing guitar for several years now, both acoustic and electric, and not once have I come across a better guitar pick for licks, solos and scales. These picks are somewhat lax in the area of fast chord strumming, but they are absolutely phenomenal when it comes to playing clean, loud and fast scales. They are very thick and durable, not one has ever broken on me. Their outer edge is curvy and smooth, and the tip of the pick is both dull and curvy, enabling one to play extremely fast. My only complaint is the fact that I have been spoiled by these guitar picks, and struggle to play with the precision and speed these picks supply when using any other guitar pick. You will get hooked on these guys, and you will not stop buying them.
