Check This Out!

Comments about Dunlop JD-4S Rotovibe Expression Pedal:

The Rotovibe has its own little soft nitch in the whole Uni-Vibe/Leslie world. It's not the standout due to its' very subdued nature but its a nice flavor for those looking for a little subtlety. Besides the mellow sounds, we were drawn to the Rotovibe's pivoting pedal which controls the effects rate with a very smooth and natural sweep. Lower settings were phasey and fluid while faster setting bent our notes in a cool and very creepy way. If you've stepped on one of Dunlop Wahs then this will feel right at home. Both the chorus and vibrato setting were lush and wavered just right when rocking back and forth on the pedal. This watery effect is perfect for slashing the right amount of color on songs and perking up lackuster leads. The unit itself is tough as nails and should give you years of hassle free vibing.

Very useful pedal!

Comments about Dunlop JD-4S Rotovibe Expression Pedal:

Rotovibe is a great versatile pedal. Basicly take a wah and instead of the "wicky-wicky-wow" sound, replace it was a chorus or vibrato sound. What's really cool about this pedal is you can set the max depth and control the speed with your foot. You can go from a slow soothing chorus sound to an underwater sound by tilting your foot. I use the chorus effect alot, but don't really use the vibrato effect that much. It sounds too much like a honky tonk piano where it goes in and out of pitch. Not a big fan of that, but the pedal is totally worth it for the chorus effect. Alot of bands use this pedal. I think most use it as a background/rythym pedal. I know Zakk Wylde uses it in his leads alot. Check out his old band, Pride & Glory. The rotovibe is all over that CD.

The Bear

Comments about Dunlop JD-4S Rotovibe Expression Pedal:

This pedal,Rotovibe JD-4S, is worth it's weight in gold. It goes in front of everything on my pedal board. It's just great. I don't use the Vibrato too much, but when I do I can get the exact sound I want. I really dig the Chorus. It just brings me back to the 60s' and 70s'. Especially running it through my Fender 59 Bassman. Mix it with some OD,Delay, even my Crybaby wah, any effect you have, and you can create your own personal sound. I play mainly blues and have found many, many uses for the Rotovibe. When I play Classic Rock I would like to keep it on all the time, but that would get stale. If you're thinking about getting the Rotovibe, stop thinking and get it.

Classic tones with a classic pedal

By C.C. Blue

from Saint Louis Missouri

Comments about Dunlop JD-4S Rotovibe Expression Pedal:

There is no doubt that the Rotovibe is a classic effect used on countless recordings..I originally bought the Dunlop univibe it was okay but i really didn't connect with it..I know some of you are thing isn't it the same tone but in a different form of pedal..I two thought this and was totally surprised by the difference in tone between the two..I found the Rotovibe not only had a faster speed and more range but a much richer lush tone then the univibe.. After being disappointed with the Univibe i thought about going to the Fulltone Deja vibe which has rave reviews..I just happened to walk into my local GC and they had a used Rotovibe..At the store it sounded okay. But when hooked into my gear with my other effects the Rotovibe really shined.. After thinking about it it really is a no brainier..The Univibe to get the full effect you must buy a expression pedal..The Rotovibe already has which is the major plus of its design..The majority of time i do not use it in a wah fashion such as pumping a wah up and down..I usually find the sweet spot i want and leave it but its nice to have the option.. I play mostly Blues and Blues based Rock with some classic and modern Rock mixed in.. As a Robin Trower fan i devote a complete set to his music and a vibe pedal mixed with dirt is one way to get that Bridge of Sigh's classic Trower tone..The Rotovibe mixed With my Stratocaster loaded with Suhr vintage 60LP pickups ran threw a Fulltone Fulldrive and into my Marshall JCM 800 does this spot on.. Over the last couple years i can not count the number of times that i have been told by in the people audience that if they closed there eyes they would have believed they were listening to Robin Trower.. Of course some of this is from constant practice and playing the songs thousands of times ..With that said those tones can't be made without quality gear.. I have been using it know for two years now..It has traveled in the back of an RV or trailer for countless of miles and has down hundreds of shows during the last two years..Many of the pedals that i bought around the same time show the abuse and constant use but the Rotovibe looks almost like new..It has a thick finish that must be some tough paint a heavy housing and is all around built like battle ship..I have a original crybaby that has been on the roads with me for 23 years now.And it wont surprise me if the Rotovibe last that length of time also..

Flat out cool

Comments about Dunlop JD-4S Rotovibe Expression Pedal:

The Rotovibe is an instant favorite. It not only can provide a great vibrato or chorus tone when stationary, but you can get sweet outer space tones when taken to the limits. Clean or Distorted playing, Experimental or Traditonal, the Dulop Rotovibe does it all.
