I think these will end up being my pick of choice from here on out. I've been experimenting with all kinds and this is the best spin on the traditional pick I've found. I use the 1.14; good, solid, stiff and precise for most types of metal and rock. They seem to be made out of some kind of synthetic (nylon?) plastic-ish material, and have a texture that creates friction. I thought at first that this would be a problem with friction on the tip but a couple of hours of use makes the tip nice and smooth so you end up with a smooth frictionless tip like a traditional plastic pick and a nice textured grip where your fingers are. And on top of all that this material seems extremely durable, the pick seems to be virtually unaffected by pick slides (so far), I usually don't do pick slides because I hate the way they tear up the sides of regular picks. Good picks.

I do enjoy playing guitar with these picks, but I feel as though they do not give me a real good feel for my playing. I would recommend getting the Dunlop tortex over these picks. These seem to be a bit smaller than the tortex which has caused me a lot of problems when playing. If you are looking for a smaller size pick, then go with these.

Gator Grips

By GuitarPlayer

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

Hands down the best picks I have ever used. They very rarely slip from my fingers (while most other picks do all the time) and produce a clean, crisp sound. In addition, they hold up very well. Pick up some of every gauge, you wont be dissapointed.

One mean pick!!!

By Bobby

from Vicksburg, MS

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

Went into guitar center a while back, asked'em for some tortex exrta heavy picks. Guy behind the counter asked if I liked super hard picks and liked to torture my strings. I said yes I do, he handed me a pack of 2mm's and they have become the pick I love. It's a little weird playing with such a thick pick, but once you get used to it they're great! And, if you're tired of picks slipping, get these. They're called gator grip for a reason.

Great picks!

By Guitarslinger

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

I have these in a variety of sizes, from .71-2.0mm. The lighter picks are very useful for fast picking, and have excellent attack without slipping, and the 2.0mm are awesome for chunking out fast metal rhythms. Great price, too.

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

Ever since I started playing guitar a few months ago, I could't find a pick that didn't slip out of my fingers. I tried Fender picks and the Dunlop Tortex picks. So I went to my local music store and got a few of the .71mm's. I love these picks. They don't fall out of my fingers and they sound great. I would highly reccomend these picks to anybody. Probably the only picks I will ever use.

Really Good Picks

By dude with guitar

from Abilene, TX

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

I just got these picks a couple of days ago, but I can tell they're really good. I bought the 1.14mm, which works really good for playing metal. The only things wrong with them is that they smell like fish food, and the powdery/fuzzy stuff on them rubs off, leaving dust on the guitar, but after using them a bit, it's not a problem

Great set of picks

By SMack521

from Westford, MA

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

I recently bought the 1.5mm version of these picks to use on my bass guitar and they are perfect. I have used other types of the same size that have bent or broken in time, but these are holding stong with me. These picks are cheap, look good, and are durable. They have a nice edge on them and work great for any picking style. I definitely would recommend these for anyone looking for a nice, durable pick for either guitar or bass.

Great Picks

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

These are great picks are they feel awesome. I do prefer the feel of the Tortex, but if you like something a little different than those, go for these.

Amazing!!

By Cody Witt

from Springhill FL.

Comments about Dunlop Gator Grip Standard Guitar Picks:

This pick is interesting. It has the width of a thin pick but the crisp sound of a medium pick. Acoustics tend to pick up thin picks hitting the strings instead of the natural vibrations of the strings. With this pick you have fast crisp strumming.
