These straplocks work great and are the only ones I buy. However if your the kind of person who likes to move around A LOT, like me [ex. jumping, swinging guitar around yourself] . . . you'll run into some problems. I put these straplocks on every guitar I have, and after enough jumping/swinging/w.e. the bottom screw strips itself out, and or bends. I fixed this problem by using glue and jamming little pieces of wood in the hole, so far this has worked, but who knows for how long. My friend plays bass and had the same problem and the glue/wood thing failed. he eventually was forced to drill new holes. So if you like me, be careful, and if you just need the locks simply prevent little accidents get these straplocks.

After using Schaller straplocks on one guitar, I decided to give these a try. While they have yet to let me down, I personally feel these are less secure. The design places the center of weight further away from the body of the guitar, which means that there's a higher possibility of the screw snapping out of the body of the guitar. I also noticed that it is much more of a hassle to take the part that stays on the strap off of the strap (i.e.- to change straps) than with the Schallers. Not a bad product, but not the best out there.

Almost dropped my Les Paul twice!

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

These are good for a while but eventually the pin locks that push into the buttons will wear-out. My Les Paul came unlocked twice at a show last and I almost dropped it twice. Good thing I have quick hands and caught the guitar when it came unlocked. I'm switching to Schaller.

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

I've used lots of these through the years. They hold the guitar securely, and clip on and off easily. My only complaint is that it's kind of a struggle to get the clip part installed on thick, stiff leather straps. But once you get it, they work great.

These are an absolute must. No longer do I have to worry about the strap falling off and the head of my bass smacking my own head. Every new instrument I buy gets one. Even bought some for the rest of my band.

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

I've been using Dunlop's Straploks for a long time now; anytime I buy a guitar, I always get a set of these strap-locks along with the guitar I'm buying or not too long afterwards.

Go the extra mile, get schallers

        By Cameron Simpson

        from Cass City, MI

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

I bought these because they were name brand and cheap. Well at first they gave me no trouble at all, but now if I play a song with any kind of movement they come unscrewed. I don't know why but it is very frustrating and irritating. I screwed them in last night and broke the flat head of my screw trying to tighten it, and after playing one song it came loose and now I cannot screw it back it. So I'm sad to say I will no longer be using dunlop. And to avoid this kind of trouble get the schallers, yea they're more expensive but it could save you money in the long run.

        Perfect.

        By Thomas Crawford

        from Brookings, SD

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

The first time you install this system, it kind of sucks. But after that, it's easy. I have this system specifically on every guitar I own. The hardest time I've had installing it was when I had to sand down the head of a screw that was in the old strap button so it would fit in this product's strap button. I've found on several guitars that the Dunlop screw was wider in diameter than the old screw. Also, good luck taking the strap lock off of the strap you put it on. I've done it once, and never again. I've never had a malfunction using this product. I know a lot of people who use it. It's great.

        By William Caudill

        from Mt washington Ky

Comments about Dunlop Dual-Design Straplok System:

The product above is one of the best strap locks one can purchase! I have had mine for years upon years and they work to this day. I know when I put the strap on Gibson Les Paul I can trust the strap locks to do what they are supposed to do every time. Highly recommended to anyone who needs great straplocks for a great price!
