Good metal slide for pinky

By VikingBlood

from Boston, MA

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

This is the most classic metal slide I have seen. The weight is just right, neither too heavy nor too light to control easily. The width is a bit shrunk down, perfect to use on the pinky for most people. People with very large hands might find it a little snug. It won't work for the ring or middle finger. For that you need something else. The tone is exactly what you want and expect from a chromed slide, maybe a little more bell-like and resonant than most. One advantage of this slide is that it is a little longer than some, making it easy to cover all six strings at once, but not so long as to become awkward. I like to have both a glass and a metal slide on hand and usually use the metal slide on my pinky and the glass slide on my ring finger. This will do fine for the metal slide. I would give it 5 stars except for the corrosion problem noted by some. I haven't experienced this, but I don't have acidic sweat, which could accelerate any corrosion. All in all a very well-thought out item. I just wish this slide came in a padded box you could keep in your guitar case because over time nicks and scratches accumulate and will eventually mar its qualities.

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

this little thing is perfect for anyone who uses there ring finger for slide. and if you like joe perry slide work such as "draw the line" or "let the music do the talking" this is definitly the slide for you, it has the bright roaring crunch tone.

Awesome Sound/Feel

By Joshua Shaffer

from Monticello, MN

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

This slide is the best I have seen. Why is it the best? I have previously used a glass slide. I was really put off by the "pingwah" sound it kind of made when you put it on the strings. After experiencing this slide, metal is the way to go. It doesn't stick to your finger and it slides on and off easily. Slides around on the fretboard very fast and has a great sound and price! A very good slide, if you're looking for the midway between quality and price.

Good If You Don't Sweat

By Bo Gibbons

from Dallas, Texas

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

This slide is an average guitar slide, nice and fast, smooth, with a nice clear tone. But, I, personally, have a few problems with it. First of all, my fingers are wide, and this slide is extremely uncomfortable for me. Second, I sweat a lot, and within a week, the inside was almost completely rusted. It was all over my finger when I took my finger out. If you don't sweat much, and your fingers aren't that wide, go ahead and by it, but I'm going to be looking for a bigger ceramic or glass slide for myself.

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

This is a really good slide. I love the fact that it comes in different sizes. The medium fits me just snugly enough. I'd like to be able to buy it in different lengths as well.

Best Rock Slide

By CRUE13

from Schaumburg, IL

Comments about Dunlop 220 Chromed Steel Guitar Slide:

This slide is perfect for all types of rock. Its stunning tone has made it one of my slides. It has fast action, and since it is made out of steel, you don't have to worry about it breaking like the glass slides. It also is NOT oversized, which makes it comfortable to play with for long periods of time. I highly recommend it.
