essential pedal

An absolute must. You can change the effect from a nice smooth chorus to the psychedelic swoosh that you hear on Hendrix's Woodstock stuff and Band of Gypsys.

Best sounding Chorus Ever

I play both guitar and keyboard/organ. Long before anyone made a decent Leslie simulator, I was using a stereo chorus pedal to try to recreate the sound of a Leslie 122. I've also owned chorus pedals by MXR, DOD, Boss amd the Danelectro Cool Cat. While the Boss and the Cool Cat sound very good, the Uni-Vibe sounds the most like a Leslie of any of the pedals that I have used! This is great pedal for guitar AND keyboard!

Dunlop Uni-Vibe Stereo Chorus

The Uni-Vibe sounds great, but in my opinion, you can coax very comparable sounds from a decent DFX unit. With a list price that rivals some decent multi-FX units, you'd really have to love the tone to sink the money into a single effect. The Uni-Vibe's stereo outputs can yield some pretty tripped out, psychedelic sounds, and it does the stereo-chorus thing very nicely, but it never did become an "essential" effect in my arsenal. Unfortunately, after buying the wrong power adapter at Radio-Shack, my Uni-Vibe fizzed out as soon as I plugged it in. I never did bother getting it fixed, and although I was angry about being out the money, I never did miss the pedal all that much.
