Since i started playing i had been using the Standard .88 green tortex. But one day i switched to the Ultex sharps and i loved the sharp tip on those but the stupid ultex material kept slipping out of my hands. So i went back to my standard tortex but i would file them to the same shape as the ultex sharps, until these came out. Once i opened the package i noticed the sharp tip, and i was instantly in love. They glide over the strings for sweep picking perfectly, i can go insanely fast on alternate picking, they sound great, and most importantly they stay in my hands. THankyou very much dunlop for releasing this awesome pick.
I bought these picks about a week ago. They are simply amazing for a metal player, just the right thickness and grip. I use to use the dunlop stubby (Jazz tip) which was very hard to grip if you were sweating or strumming fast. This pick does it all from sweeping picking with ease, to great articulations with strings and everything in between. For you younger players pinch harmonics with this pick are a joke! They are so easy to pull off with this pick it almost makes me sick lol!! You won't be sorry with these picks I will never use anything else except a BLACK FANG which is similiar just a tad bit thicker on the grip.
First off these are tortex and second they have a jazz 3 tip (the sharp tip!!) These are great! just got them and you can alternate pick so much easier. The pick just glides off of each string. Put that tip on a full size tortex and it's just a great pick! Great job Dunlop!!
