I picked up a few of these picks yesterday. I got the green .88 ones. I'm horrible at fast alternate picking but as soon as i played with these picks I could see the improvement.
I was used to playing with much lighter picks but I read that James Hetfield uses these picks and all I play is pretty much Metallica. So i decided to pick these up and give them a try. They are great! the point is ridiculously fine and doesnt wear down. Its very durable and an overall great pick. I recommend this to play speed songs or songs with quick alternate picking. It just takes some time to get used to if you normally use thinner picks. But its great!!
I ordered these because I was looking for a thicker pick, but they are too thick for me. That's not a problem, it's that they're too slick and keep slipping out of my fingers. I took them to my guitar teacher and had him try them, and he agrees that they're too slippery. I'm going to get a thinner pick between the 0.5mm and the 1.0mm thickness.
