I just got the Dunlop Solid Brass slide.I chose the heavy walled slide.I really love the tone I'm getting.It's louder with more sustain than I got with the glass slide I'd been using.After decades of playing mostly rock style guitar,I've been getting more and more into blues guitar.The Dunlop Brass slide is a quality product that I would advise any guitarist who wants to play a little slide guitar to purchase and use.
I've previously used a glass slide, but it did not sustain very long and wasn't very loud, especially since I have a noise gate. This slide has a full-bodied tone and glides easily. It sustains a lot longer than the glass slides. I recommend it to anyone, even if they only know one or two songs with slide in it. It's that worth it.
I've had this slide for few years now but I use it sparingly. I mean, for nine bucks, you get what you pay for. This slide delivers bright sounds and is rock solid. But for those who aren't serious about learning slide guitar, stay away.
