  • Best deal on a fuzz you can find

As reviewed by Brian Carroll on 5/2/2013

There are some REAL fuzz hounds out there. Some are cork sniffers who simply cannot like a fuzz that isn't 50 years old, hand wired, and costs less than a grand. For those of us with an open mind willing to give a "new" fuzz pedal a chance, this thing absolutely kills it. It's punchy, smooth, and absolutely superb. I'm honestly more than impressed. I was expecting a barely-passable spin on a fuzz face (considering surface mount components, factory made, has an LED and a 9v power supply-in). What I got was the sound and operation of a true fuzz face but with a modern footprint, features, and pricetag. It's relatively bright for a fuzz face, which I prefer. Typically, silicon fuzz faces don't clean up as well when you roll back the volume knob. I use an american strat, and this thing did just fine. Roll the volume knob back to 2 through 5, and it's in really nice fuzzy overdrive territory. With the fuzz knob and guitar's volume cranked, it's really smooth and authentic fuzz. For the price, it is absolutely head and shoulders what you should expect for a fuzz face. It's not "a cute little fuzz that looks and sounds like a fuzz face." It's a real fuzz face. Depending on my guitar, playing, and other pedals (mixing it with a tubescreamer or OCD) I can nail vintage Gilmour and Hendrix to modern players like Philip Sayce or Scott Mckeon. I'm so impressed I'm 75% sure I'll buy the red Germanium model when it's released, instead of dishing out $200+ for a boutique, battery-only model with no LED.

  • Compact Awesomeness

As reviewed by Matthew Levinson on 6/3/2013

For the price, it is WAY worth the scratch. I get all kinds of tones out of it. If you dial up the volume and down the fuzz, you get a nice volume boost, if you kick the fuzz up, you get tens ranging from light Pink Floyd distortion to full blown Nirvana grunge.

  • Great fuzz for the money

As reviewed by Jack on 3/21/2015

I didn't know what to expect when I first plugged this in, but was very pleasantly supprised. It has the nice treble type of fuzz you would expect from BC108's and for the price it is a very good sounding silicon fuzzface, and finally in a size that won't take up half of your board. It also plays very well with other pedals, from a wah to a delay. So if you are looking for a solid low price fuzz, this one is worth trying out.
