  • Dunlop Shy Slide

As reviewed by Jacob on 2/18/2008

For twice the price, this would still be an excellent slide ring. The size is just small enough that it doesn't get in the way when playing runs, even with the slide finger; however, it's big enough to cover 3 strings, which lets you switch between almost any kind of slide playing and normal playing seamlessly. It does take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, it's like it's not even there. I have absolutely zero complaints with this item and will recommend it to anyone who asks, especially at such a bargain price.

  • Dunlop Easy Slide

As reviewed by Doug Henson on 10/20/2009

I have purchases several different guitar slides, both metal and glass. However, I have short fingers and found them each to be very cumbersome to use. I recently purchased the Dunlop Shy Slide, and so far, I have found it easier to use and to control. My only complaint on the product comes with the product instructions. The instruction direct you to remove the stickie tape from the Velcro prior to sliding the velcro through the slide's slots. That is a mistake due to the thickness and glue on the strips. Slide the velcro first, then remove the stickie back in sections. This works much easier. Also, be sure not to cut too much from the ends of the velcro. Other that that, great product.

  • Not bad, but...

As reviewed by MakoAoyama on 10/4/2009

It's an interesting concept, just poor execution. Don't get me wrong, it works well and fits any size finger but the scratchy side of the velcro HURTS. I'm really not sure why Dunlop chose to use all velcro and not a combination of velcro and elastic for the strap on this. Keep in mind, that if you are good at sewing, or know someone that is, you could easily get them to replace the strap with some elastic that would be much more comfortable. If it weren't for that, the Shy Slide might actually get 4 to 5 stars for it's usefulness.
