these things make your picking so accurate, it's not even funny. In my opinion the black ones sound better, and the sharpened tip gives you that extra edge in your sound. If you like metal, and want to neaten up your playing, this is the pick you want. An hour or so of practice with it, and you'll be amazed at how much neater your picking technique is
Ok I was used to using these cruddy dickies picks and I thought they were good. When I went to a guitar teacher, he let me use a Jazz III pick, I was astounded, I went out and bought a pack and almost instantly my picking technique, speed and accuracy improved almost 10x better than my previous technique!!! Get em they are well worth it!!
i allready owned the black jazz III with the so called "stiffo" material which is sopose to have a good grip but to me the red nylon ones have a better grip and they look shinnyer overall this is the best guitar pick iv ever used and they are very easy to do pinch hamronics with
