Product Information

The fixed wah with the power to pierce through the mix is back for a limited time!

The original Crybaby Q-Zone effect pedal has been a mainstay on Kerry King's pedalboard through years of tours and recording sessions. Its unique design allows Kerry to create a focused and penetrating "fixed-wah" lead tone to cut through a band as thick as Slayer. Years after discontinuing the original, the Q-Zone has now been reborn as the KFK Q-Zone pedal with all its tried and true controls intact and sporting a wicked KFK tattoo graphic. Use the Volume (up to +18dB), Q-Zone (frequency breadth), and Peak (frequency center) controls to sculpt and set the perfect lead sweet spot. The Q-Zone's weighted, "stay-put" knobs keep your settings stable and its heavy-duty casing, jacks, and pots ensure a lifetime of use. This is a numbered, limited-edition Dunlop pedal.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Great for leads

Let me tell you this pedal is great for leads. It may take sometime to find the sweet spot but when you do your leads will take on a whole new life. I know Kerry King may not be the best lead player but the dude must know tone. Don't let the fact it's a signature pedal scare you away. If you have been looking for something to help you cut through the mix with your leads look to this pedal.

Great for rhythm tone as well as lead

The reviews all over the web say that this pedal is great for leads, but it works great for rhythm tones as well. I've found that by setting the Q-Zone knob at positions less than 12:00 so that a less pronounced wah sound is created it is possible to get equalization close to Van Halen and also Lynch's rhythm sounds, probably just about any player that you want to sound like as well. The 18dB of boost combined with the amazing EQ range and bandwidth have made the original Q-Zone my only "clean booster" for the last nine years. I haven't used a stompbox EQ pedal or any other pedal as a clean booster for all that time. I think it's also easier to get a nice sounding EQ curve with this than an equalizer; it eliminates some of the guesswork and random experimentation. Of course it can also be used to get those "half-wah" lead tones that I first heard from Schenker and Ronson - at the press of a button without tuning in the pedal for the first three notes of your solo. This may sound trivial, but the first time that I ignited the Q-Zone for a solo while playing in a band situation I was blown away; INSTANT Schenker tone with no foot tweeking! I like my old Q-Zone so much that I ordered the Kerry King pedal as a back up!
