i used to use ernie ball skinny top heavy bottom.i asked for some similiar strings but with better quality.he said dunlop made them.they are the best strings ever.look no further.ever.
I was avoiding writing a review for fear of giving away one of my secret weapons, but I want to make sure they sell enough of these to continue to offer them! I like the way these feel in standard E to E tuning; nice tension for rhythm playing without feeling like bridge cable, and slinky plain strings. I find that the larger core diameter of the wound strings makes for less of a sonic difference between the wound and the plain strings; they have more of a similar "ring" in this set. The smaller wrap diameter makes for a smoother feel, too. The wounds are nice and bright without being overly so, and as they age they still maintain a nice tone. They work well for Fender and Gibson scale lengths, fixed-bridge and floating. Buy some - but try not to tell EVERYONE...
If you love thrash metal, death metal, death core, screamo, ect. Get these strings now! you don't even need to get them in the 6 pack they are so durable! I bought a 6 pack a year and a half ago and I still have 2 sets left. They are perfect for shredders and major benders they can take it all. You'll need a new guitar before you need new strings when you have these!
