First of all I didn't buy mine from GC. That's because when I bought mine OVER TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO I'd never heard of them. Mine is so old that it is housed in the old light gray shell. I have no idea how many THOUSANDS of shows I've played using this pedal. Or how many miles it has logged with me across three continents. I'm primarily a bassist but I also use it for my guitar and even occasionally for keyboards or even on my old Astatic harmonica mic that doesn't its own volume control. It has never failed me or given me one moments problem. Every two or three years I give it a fresh dab or two of white lithium grease. In over forty years of playing professionally it is the single most reliable piece of equipment I have ever owned.
This petal is fairly cheap but can do the job of a $150 petal. I learned this from experience.I bought the Line 6 Wah before and this petal sounded just as good.If you wan't a good Wah with a little price tag....This is it!!
There's not much you can write about Dunlop's GCB-80 High Gain Volume Pedal, because it's simple and does its job extremely well. Wonderful action from the pedal mechanism, two solid jacks, and strong all-metal construction. As it's a passive pedal you don't have to worry about loss of tone. That's it - if this was a stereo pedal there'd be other features to discuss, if it were active the same would apply. But it's strong, simple, and does what you need it to do without failure. That's more than good enough for me.
