  • jim dunlop big stubby, and regualr stubby

As reviewed by David T on 5/31/2011

I've played gigs with both of these picks and i could honestly go either way. the Big stubby helps bring out a thicker tone that brings out a lot more feels and tone, whereas the regular stubby is a great speed pick but the thickness brings out a lot of good tone and allows more emotion to come through compared to most jazz picks. I love both and would recommend them for both beginners and advanced players. they are worth every cent and will increase your speed, and give you a little more style

  • When you don't want to put much effort in to it

As reviewed by Joe on 4/2/2010

I was a bit hesitant about buying these picks at first. I didn't even think I would be able to hold them, but I was wrong. These picks are amazing! They make fast riffs easier because you can pick faster with them. These are amazing for rock and metal, or any other type of fast playing song.Get some soon!

  • Pickin' and Rippin'

As reviewed by KillWill on 10/9/2006

I know your thinking that it?s just another pick and it doesn?t make any difference. But you couldn?t be more off! A friend of mine first introduced me into the wander that is the Dunlop Stubby 3mm guitar pick! This little thing which I call ?the stone? really improves my skill. With less pick to get in the way my speed increases and my accuracy is greatly improved. It makes low, chugging riffs easy and effortless on my Jackson DXMG. These deep purple demons have grown on me. Now, when I go back to playing with thin .66 mm guitar picks, it feels like I?m using a piece of paper! Don?t dismiss these as ?just another pick?! These little buggers will really help you shred with ease.
