As reviewed by Otis on 8/28/2010

I have used big stubbys in 1 & 2mm for about 3 years now, basically since I started playing bass. With my stock strings the 2mm gave me the deepest sound with no flex in the pick, also the thicker picks tend to be easier to hold without cramping of the knuckles. With some strings they can be a little excessively noisy though, really pingy that you can easily hear in the amp's sound. Overall, at least for bass they are good picks, really fast, though if you are like me and tend to sweat alot during play, they can get a little slick and tend to spin on you. Using the triangle pick with its increase size, tends to eliminate the issue a little bit because you have more to hold on to. Another slight issue is harsher bass strings can tend to eat these things up and spits dust all over your bass. The poly-carbonite material these are made out of doesnt self polish like some other picks seem to, you will notice a discolored/rough patch on the edge and a whitish powder under your strings. Synopsis: good sound on stock strings (on my Ibanez 305SG at least), nice fast play with little flex, good size and thickness. Bad: A little slick which the factory could fix with deeper grips, and a bit messy/noisy with certain strings, though a good pre-filter might be able to get rid of the ping
