• A Heavy Metal Monster

  I will keep this simple. I bought this amp a few weeks ago and i have to say it's a metal monster.! Nice clean sound,wicked distorion, in your face bottom end bite, a boost button for an even more intence metal sound'' and this is with out any pedals in front of it !....... The reverb on this amp does SUCK ! IN MY OPINION THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT IT OFF THE AMP........ This amp is very loud and powerfull that will bring the walls down and shake windows in your house,trust me!!!!!!!! And to be honest i dont really care much for some of the dean product's that are out on the market these days ? but i seen a few you tube video's of this amp and i have to say they did a pretty good job in makeing this amp hands down. And for a amp in this price range next to the big name amps out there for the same price with less to offer,its a good quality well built product from dean for a change.

• A great amp, with minor problems

  First, this amp sounds amazing. The louder you crank it, the better the sound is. Next, the reverb. Now it?s not the best in the world, but if you don't have a Boss RV-5 it will do. The knobs on the amp DO come off with a light pull (keep away from children). But that?s an easy fix, it?s called super glue. It will take you 2 seconds to apply it and it?s not a big deal. Mine didn't come with a manual, so guess what I did. I looked everywhere online and couldn't find it. So I did the next best thing, I used common sense. The Dime head is the same thing as the combo. So I looked at it and everything was all handy dory. I love my amp, it?s amazing. If you want a good metal sound, get this amp.

• Dime Would STILL Be Disappointed

  After spending some time with the amp, the features are less than stellar: the two channels can only be switched via the footswitch with no switch(es) on the amp itself. Not a big deal, but most any decent amp can be switched at both locations. The biggest lack in switching, however, is the Boost. Nice feature, but this can only be switched at the amp and not via the footswitch. Very annoying, as the whole point of a Boost is that it can easily be switched in and out while playing. As a note to potential buyers of this amp: the contact adhesive worked well and the knobs seem to be solidly attached now. Isn't the point, however, that a person shouldn't have to resort to these methods on a brand new product? I want to plug in and play a new amp out of the box, not repair it. I also mentioned that no manual was included and that I had to go online to find a downloadable manual. the fact is I did find that manual when I went online after receiving the amp and printed it off, but again, the point is that a person shouldn't have to spend time doing these annoying tasks when they just spent on a new amp and they would rather be playing it. After two attempts, I still have not received any response from the manufacturer in regards to these issues. But, now that I have settled into this amp, I will say I am happy with the sounds. It offers the kind of hard rock and metal tones I was hoping for in a solid-state high-gain amp. I haven't found a need to add any overdrive or distortion pedals to get the metal tones, and, unlike my tube amp, these metal tones can be easily achieved with the amp at reasonable volume levels.
