This pedal is very good as far as synth goes. It has a lot of features such as another input for a PA system and octave. There are many types of synth bass on this pedal, but i only found one that I would acctually use. All the other effects would rarely be used. This pedal is good for funk and solos. It gives you a very space-like synth. However, the funky synth is by far the best effect in my opinion on this pedal. It gives you a great Flea sounding slap. It's kind of spendy, but if synth is your kind of thing then I would buy it.

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

This is a really fun pedal to play around with. You can get tons of groovy outerspace funk sounds with it plus its about half the price of the Boss synth wah and kills it on sound, in my opinion.

Cool Pedal

By Jake

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

It is a pretty cool Pedal, some sick effects. It is fun to play some songs with different effects on. my band did Seven nation Army with the envelope filter on. but most of the Effects on here are not useful in a band. On occasion we will play a song with Keytar in it but use the synth from this pedal, and replace it with bass

simply awesome

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

I have owned a lot of bass synth, wah, envelope filter pedals. Mutron, Discumbobulator, Microsynths, SYB-5. The digitech was something I got as part of a trade and I LOVE it. The sounds are very usable. They don't get muddy like many filter types do. There are 7 different settings and they all sounds great. I am amazed with this thing. I have played this with passive precision basses and super acitve (18-volt preamp) basses and it handles them very well. The controls are easy to use, very intuitive and you can get a great sound right from the get go. Highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a great synth type bass pedal.

Great For Price

By Dan

from Pacific Northwest

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

This is a great effect. It tracks better than almost all other synth pedals that I have played on. The Wah is a tad bit shrill, but it sounds great. The octave effect is worth the price of the pedal in its self. Most of the synth sounds are useable and some are just plain epic. Great for alternative rock and funk, but be sure that you will use it before you buy it. Sounds and tracks better than synths that cost twice as much. I would deffinatly recomend this pedal.

Great Pedal for Playin' That Funky Music, White Boy

By Will Lasley

from Brentwood, TN

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

This may be the greatest pedal for anyone who plays funk, rock, jazz, or blues. Rock is my main genre, but I love playing funk just for fun. It's the perfect pedal for getting that Flea/Bootsy Collins funk sound. Also, since it's got seven different effects settings, it allows you to do much more than just that

      Spacey fun

      By MATT

      from Chattanooga, TN

Comments about Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah Effects Pedal:

I just picked up one of these pedals used and think it's great to have in my effects chain. SOme of my bands jams got pretty nasty when I kicked it on set to suboctave. I took one star off because the sensitivity knob seems to have no patience for my active bass. It's very difficult to avoid triggering the spacey effects. I'm thinking it would be easier to dictate with passive pickups, but I haven't tested this theory. Either way I'm going to work it into my signal chain and find control/sens/range settings I like and MAYBE occasionally change the effect knob here and there. Might just set it and forget it. On the suboctave I had the spacey noise so short and quiet you couldn't hear it in the mix with the band playing anyway. Might be another story going through a house PA. Very fun pedal though.. and for the price I picked it up at it's definitely a keeper.
