Overview

The DigiTech RP360XP guitar multi-effect processor is a complete 360 guitar effects solution. It includes over 125 different effects (32 amps, 18 cabinets, 74 stompboxes) inspired by some of the world's best-selling pedals and iconic amps. The LCD interface makes it easy to explore and discover the perfect tone to get that desired effect. Along with the incredible selection of effects, the RP360XP has an expression pedal, 40-second looper, nearly 200 presets, USB port, configurable footswitch modes, built-in tuner; dedicated headphone jack, Sound Check and 60 built-in drum tracks.

You can add up to eight effects to each preset. The RP360XP has a USB port for transferring and loading presets from your computer. With nearly 200 onboard presets and Nexus, DigiTech's free preset editor and librarian software, you can create, transfer, and share an unlimited number of tones. The USB port also allows you to record your guitar tracks directly to your computer. The RP360XP works with GarageBand, Pro Tools, Cubase, Ableton, and virtually every other recording software for Mac or PC.

The RP360XP is versatile with three different footswitch modes. Incorporate the RP360XP into your existing pedal board using stompbox mode where you can assign any effect in your preset to each footswitch. If you choose to use the RP360XP by itself, easily navigate through your presets in preset mode or bank mode. Extend your control of the RP360XP with a 3-button footswitch. The 3-button footswitch can be set-up to extend the control of the onboard looper or navigate through your banks and presets.

The RP360XP includes a new feature exclusive to DigiTech called Sound Check. Sound Check allows you to quickly record a phrase with your guitar and set it to repeat while you dial in the perfect effects and settings. Sound Check saves you from having to continually bend over to make minor adjustments while dialing in your tone. With Sound Check you'll spend less time tweaking and more time playing with the perfect tones.

    Digitech hit a home run

    By Joe

    from Barnegat, NJ

Comments about Digitech RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

As a player who has a love/hate relationship with modelers, I find that sometimes I have to use them, depending upon where I'm playing. I love pedals and amps but sometimes stage volume isn't practical. I've owned a good number of the more popular modelers and they all do certain things very well. However, I've found that only Digitech units are able to accept external drives seamlessly. The RP360XP is fantastic in a live setting. The ability to use multipliers for the delays is a huge winner. As well, the routing of effects opens up a great amount of options. Tone-wise, Digitech has always been a winner and the RP360XP holds true to that. The amps, effects and throughput are incredible. As well, the expression pedal and wah tones are amazing. Complete control. I'm not someone who reviews gear the day I get it. I want the honeymoon to be over. In this case, I've played the RP out in a live setting every week for the past two months and I can honestly say it's the ideal tool for shaping the tones I want. Plus, the amp models will accept external OD and distortion the same way a real amp would. No digital compression or artifacts. If you want a small footprint with a ton of options, and the ability to expand with your own pedal collection, the RP360XP is a true winner.

All in one small pedal board with good sound

Comments about Digitech RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

i really like the RP 360xp. i use it as a mobile pedal board instead of lugging my full pedal collection around when i can do without it. the RP has so many effects that it can do in a pinch very well as a substitute for my pedal full pedal board. im glad i got the XP because i use the expression pedal as a volume pedal or a wah which makes it worth the extra $50. also, its good for practice with headphones, you don't need an amp to play it with headphones. i connect my ipod or laptop to the aux input and jam to tracks or songs. its very small and easy to carry for mobility and has a small footprint.

wish it had more foot switches

Comments about RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

Had it a month now, and i feel i can give a fair review. the limited number of foot switches is its biggest drawback. the sounds are good. the interface is good, at least with the NEXUS interface it is, havent used it much without. i bought the FS3X expansion, because without it the thing was not usable in a live band setting at all. the looper trigger being a single switch is the most aggravating part, as i'm just not coordinated enuff to keep my balance and tap it twice... but other than that its a nice piece of equipment for a very fair price.

I am very happy with the RP360XP. Not every effect will be liked by everyone and that is to be expected with such a wide variety to choose from. There is something for everyone on this thing.... No matter what your style is. You can tweak the ones you may not care for and turn them in to something that fits you!
I love discovering and creating new sounds and the RP360XP let's me do that!

Comments about Digitech RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

My first experience with floor processors was 20 or so years ago, with the Digitech RP6. Not a bad unit, but not a great one. Since then I have acquired multiple pedal boards filled with expensive boutique pedals, and rack processors with midi foot controllers. No complaints about them, but I wanted something compact that has great sound that makes smaller coffee house gigs and open mics easy to do. The RP360XP completely fills the bill. This unit is small, has surprisingly good effects, and quite good amp and cab models. Lots of convenient features, like the sound check function for easy editing of presets, a decent looper, and a drum machine for practicing alone. The Nexus librarian software really makes editing a breeze, and the interface is so easy to use. You hardly need a manual. Now all I need to take to a small gig is a guitar and the RP. Run stereo direct into the PA, and it sounds fantastic. Very quiet operation even with high gain settings. Adding the FS3X footswitch completes it. I can scroll through presets and operate the looper with the footswitch, and use the stompbox mode on the RP. I could go on and on about features, but don't want to go too long. Lastly, the unit is a bargain at this price, although I found it even cheaper. Single effect pedals cost more than this. You won't regret purchasing this unit. Having a blast!

Not great but good unit for the money

Comments about RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

The drum tracks sound very realistic but the selection is limited. The effects are mostly for hard rock and metal which I don't use much. I have not yet tried to create my own sounds but I like having that option. The looper is nice but it would be good if you could get a few more bars before it started to loop. Overall the machine is pretty much what I expected. The shipping was fast and the package arrived in excellent condition. I would buy this again if necessary.

Comments about Digitech RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

Excellent pedal for the money. Pay the extra $50 to get this version with the expression pedal, you'll actually end up using it more for volume control which is very convenient. I like the computer interface, not perfect, and it's definitely worth getting the USB cable, though I wish it came in the package. I found out that I could also play audio through the USB cable which I didn't see in the instructions which is a nice bonus if you want to jam along to a song. It does come with a separate analog input if you want to pull music from an ipod or your phone. All in all, a nice product that I highly recommend.

Comments about Digitech RP360XP Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal:

If you're like me, you can't afford all the sweet vintage and boutique gear we lust over. Thank God for modeling! This unit is brimming with loads of brilliant, usable, classic tones. The amp/cab and OD/dist models are high quality and plentiful. Sure, nothing beats a true analog OD pedal. I put one in front of the RP360xp and it takes it like a champ! Tons of usable modulation fx. Awesome delays. Lexicon Reverb is top notch. Everything is very adjustable and easy to use. I can't say enough. I run this pedal into the fx loop return of my Valveking II and it sounds heavenly. Touch response is great. Cleans up nice when rolling guitar volume down. I've finally been able to cop some of my favorite tones that I've been trying to nail down for years! Clapton (beano & woman), SRV, Billy Gibbons, Page, KR, BB King, Buddy Guy, ect. Not to mention a bunch of Various Jimi tones. Quick tip, Purple Haze Solo: Octavia Fuzz cranked into JTM or Plexi with an old school delay and a bit of reverb. NECK pup, guitar vol rolled down (very important). Rock on!
