Overview

The DigiTech RP1000 guitar pedal is loaded with over 160 effects and 200 presets giving you a splendid range of tones. With an integrated effects switching system, no longer will you have to do the pedal tap dance-just select your preset and your tone is engaged, just the way you like it. This DigiTech pedal comes with a built-in phrase looper with 20 seconds of record time. You can also route external effects pedals through it using the stompbox loop.

Your Amp
The Digitech RP1000 comes with an Amp/Cabinet bypass switch that allows you to turn off the RP1000's internal amplifiers and cabinets so your amp's tone stands alone.

Simplicity of a Guitar Pedal
Popular on the Digitech RP500, the RP1000 multi-effects pedal also features the pedal board Mode that turns footswitches 6 through 10 into stompbox-style effect on/off controls.

100 different pedal boards
When the Amp/Cabinet Bypass is used in conjunction with the pedal board mode, the RP1000 turns into 100 different pedal boards. You get instant access to both preset changes and stompbox on/off control-truly the best of both worlds.

The DigiTech RP1000 pedal is built like a tank from a cast-metal chassis to the 14 vacuum-style switches. A large 10 character LED display makes for easy stage use topped by a built-in expression pedal to control wahs, volume, whammy, and other parameters.

Your sound is king; the control of your sound is imperative. The RP1000 pedal gives you added control to express yourself the way you want-no longer will the lack of control stand in the way of your expression.

I have used tube amps my whole life (I've been playing for 45 years), and I was loathe to go to a modeling unit, but these days I perform as a single and plug directly into the board and needed a solution to keep the equipment at a minimum. I sold my '68 Fender Super Reverb in order to buy this unit, and not only do I have no regrets, I don;t miss my old amp at all! I just got the unit today, and I plugged it directly into one of my powered speakers to get a sense of it's accuracy. The amp/cab emulation is amazing! I get the same resonance I would expect from the actual amps I selected! As a 60's kind of player, I expect to get certain harmonics from certain amps in an overdrive/feedback situation. This multi-effect delivers! The stomp-boxes are accurate, and the amp models deliver all of the characteristics of the actual amp! I messed around with controlled feedback, and pulling characteristic benefits from the different amp models, and got what I'd expect with the actual amps and effects! That's saying something. Keep in mind, that I am working as a single with pre-recorded back up tracks, but with this plugged directly into one of my Behringer powered speakers, I got the same feel and reaction as I would with the actual amp! The feel and sound are dead on! I have a Marshall Plexi or '65 Twin at the tap of a switch! I will have no problem working with a band with just this pedal board and one of my powered speakers (550 watts, bi-amped). Next task is to plug it in to the mixer and dial it in for use with my back-up tracks. I foresee no issue doing this. I can see why this works so well when used with an amp! And the beauty of this for me is that I can still use my vintage effects via the effects loop, and get all of that great amp emulation into my board! Just about every stomp-box I ever wanted to own is in it, as well as all those great amps I could never actually afford to buy. If you ever wanted an unlimited tonal palette, this is the solution! 'What can I say about this elixir!' (Frank Zappa from 200 Motels) Get one, you won't regret it!

Digi Tech RP1000

By Tim Kotowski

from Boulder Colorado

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

My first Digi Tech peddle was the RP1 in the nineties it was the peddle to get and the one I got. In 2010 I decided I needed some thing to get me up to speed with the new sounds and I wanted a wah wah. In pricing wahs from the el cheapo to the Buddy Guy at over 200 I realized I didn't want a big pile of peddles like I had before the RP1 but wanted the best wah sounds. I looked at a lot of different peddles and the Digi Tech peddle, the RP1000 had all the cool new sounds and not only one wah but 2 other popular wahs and you can program them. It wasn't easy to put the old trusty RP1 down but this peddle has every thing I needed, the cool new sounds, 3 wahs and volume expression peddle in the same small foot print. It was easy to understand both RP's foot peddle switching system they still kept the stompbox with out the mess, they are amazingly easy to program and get great results. Oh ya forgot to tell you about the amp & cabinet moduling now I have every amp I wish I owned all in one unit this peddle is it. It only took 3 gigs to pay for it self. The looper is great too, just like the old echo plex only better. If you like stomping on boxes try stomping on this box you'll wonder why it took you so long to clean up your mess. TNT

This is the real deal

By Seth White

from Dallas, TX

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

If you need versatility and great cleans and heavy distortions with lots of different types of effects rolled into one multi-effects unit this is the one. I tried out the X3 Live, GT-10, Tonelab, and this sounded the best to my ears and is very stage friendly. What I really like about it is that you have 5 patches per bank and can turn 5 different effects on and off for each patch. This makes it like having a whole different amp and stompbox selection for each patch which gives me lots of versatility. The amp and cab models are excellent. What makes it even better is that you can switch up the cabs if you want to fine tune the tone. The overdrives and distortions are excellent. I remember the first time I played one of the stock solo patches and how good it sounded compared to other multi-effects units I had been trying. The effects are also excellent bar none, especially the delays and the tremolo (biastrem). I have been playing for about 35 years and know professional quality tone when I hear it. This unit delivers and is the real deal.

Most versatile multi-effect ever!

By Robert August

from Painesville, OH

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I have owned this pedal for about a month and I must say it is the most amazing pedal out there. The ease of use is awesome. The loop feature is great and really easy to use, also, the tap delay is super nice. Being able to add or subtract effects to chosen presets on the fly is really sweet. The quality of sounds is incredible. Just the perfect pedal! If I could have asked for a custom pedal for myself, this is what I would have designed! Digitech, you read my mind! Thanks. Also, the free Tube Overdrive Pedal that came with the purchase is AMAZING! What a deal. Forever Digitech.

AWESOME

By DIE FAST John

from Rosemead, CA

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

Just picked one of these up after months of researching, and I am so NOT disappointed. Replaced a large pedal train full of junk and cables, with 1 box!! Unlike the Pod Pro XT I alos have, and numerous other multi and midi effects, I was able to use on a gig the day I bought it, after bouncing around a few presets, by using the amp simulator (off) button. The Distortions and Amp Sims are great too, I just didn't have the time to set MY sound up...Looking forward to the day when I don't have to haul around anything more than this, my guitar and a few picks!!

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I've been using Digitech products for along time. I started with the RP 12, then the RP 200, then RP 150, with Digitech stompboxes, then I moved up to thr RP 500, and recently the RP 1000. I love how I can switch stompboxes and amps. This is a fun device. I highly recommend this device. And you can use both any RP units with the RP 1000. Get one and enjoy.

Great effects processor

By rhall84900

from St. Charles, Mo

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

This is a wonderful sounding product to my ears. It is very versatile, effects are great, and you are able to retain the sound of your amp. You can turn all effects, amps, and cabs off and go straight to your amp or you can use effects only or can use a fully processed signal with effects, amps, and cabs. It is very well built as well. I tried the Pod x3 live, Boss GT-10 and found the RP1000 to be the clear winner. BTW, go and play with each of these products and decide for yourself. If you're looking for a clear winner among these three products, you aren't going to find it by reading others reviews. I spent over a month reading about them and I have found an equal amount of people who love, hate, or are indifferent to all three products. Buy what you like, and than find the review that makes you feel best about your purchase.

Heaven!!!

By MikeyTheRipper

from Eugene Oregon

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I just got one for my birthday and i want to take a minute to explain this multi pedal. EVEN though it got a 4 on overall online in my opinion i gave it a 100* review. I've been playing guitar for about 3 years now and i'm extremely picky when it comes to tone. This delivered. I had a pocketpod about a year ago and gave it to my friend because it wasn't very user friendly, and it was just very low quality. This however is extremely user friendly and it replicates my pedals more than ever. I have an MT-2 and i found the Zone mode on it which is based on the MT-2 and i made it sound better than mine. There aren't enough words to say how happy i am, if your looking for great tone, great effects, user friendly system look no farther Thanks Digitech!

4 stars ONLY because nothing is perfect !!! :)

By melquiades cavero

from Federal Way , WA.

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I've been playing 28yrs. and after 26yrs. I broke down and decided to trade in my last amp set-up (Bogner and Orange) for this unit and honestly ; I could NOT be happier. Obviously it's not for everyone , it's not meant to be. And although ; admittedly , most of the effects I'll never use ; it's nice to have them readily available should the need arise. I have always kept a relatively simple set-up with most of my attention and focus being on "MY-TONE". I have found "MY-TONE". And the key is not just in the amp models you choose , but if and how you choose to fine-tune the parametric e.q. I have 2 heavily modified Epiphone Les Paul Customs (w/ coil-taps) that run into a Jim Dunlop Crybaby Cantrell and Jim Dunlop Rotovibe then in to the Digitech RP1000. All are mounted to a Pedaltrain PRO. My CORE tones consist of : 1. Acoustic 2. Clean 3. Dirty 4. Heavy 5. Lead In between those core tones are subtle variations that include modest use of Compression ~ Overdrive/Boost ~ Stereo Chorus ~ Stereo Delay ~ Reverb. This is "MY-TONE" and I LOVE it !!! Warning : It does NOT program itself to sound great... ;)

The Greatest Addition to any Musician's Repertoire

By Kevin Bradley

from Philadelphia, PA

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I've had this product for about 2 years and I am still as excited to play it every day just as I was when I first purchased it. Let's start with its look, all metal body gives it a tough exterior and an amazing look. The bright LED lights are perfect for any lighting. But let's get down to what is inside the piece. Whatever sound you want to get, the choice is yours. From some of the heaviest medal to the smoothest classical music, you can find it. It doesn't even matter what type of amp you use for this because the pedal does it all. With numerous amps and cabinets, it's like you have some of the greatest and most popular amps right at your foot. I am a huge pink Floyd fan and I was overwhelmed when I saw that one of the factory presets was titled "Gilmour". The fact that the musician can choose between switching between 10 presets or 5 presets with the option to add a compressor, distortion, chorus, delay, or reverb setting is beyond incredible. The options this piece allows the musician to reach is limitless. I also love the looping system which can allow me to loop some nice chord progressions with a nice tone. After the loop is nice and smooth, I can change my sound to a more "solo" type feel and over the loop for hours on end. I will never need anything other than this.

Great product

By Jason

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I have a fender strat and marshall JCM900 and never used effects before. The first few days I played this for a several hours since I didn't want to put the guitar down. I came up with 14 different presets for 14 different songs that are great. The PC interface is perfect and a great addition. the sound is professional. If I lost it, I'd buy it again. BTW, this sounds good with headphones and plugging into an amp, so you can keep the amp at the rehearsal studio and still play at home.

Best multi-effects unit for me!

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I own the Pod X3 Live and the Digitech RP1000. The pod seems to offer a bit more flexibility with the ability to play through 2 separate rigs at once and a few more routing options. But I'll take the RP1000 hands down every time over the X3 Live. To me it sounds way better! I actually use it with my Twin Reverb instead of my analog pedalboard which includes an 808 and a TS9 both Keeley modified. I rarely use them anymore! Nice job Digitech!

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I'm using this for performance, and expect to do home recording with it also. As a longtime Digitech fan--my first multi effects unit was an RP-10, which I still use sometimes--I expected good sounds and easy operation, which I got. I thought all of the emulated effects I have owned (like the BigMuff and CE-2 Chorus) sounded real, and the sound quality in general is very good. Smart programming, too: you don't get a huge volume blast if you use a Whammy patch or kick in the wah pedal. Programming patches is very easy once you get the hang of it. I like the Patch Librarian capability, but haven't felt the need to use it yet. I do wish that more extreme sounds were possible. In my experimental playing with a looper, I find it can be hard to get an effect out of the "normal" zone when I want.

    worth every penny

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

The ease of use and tone far surpass the GT10. The best feature by far is the fact you can set 10 switches in a group for any possible sound you want to hear, and you are able to select different gains and voluums for each pedal. This eliminates the need to fool with voluum knobs. If there is a need for a little less or more voluum, while you are playing, you can set the mixer or amp levels with the pedal half way. This give immediated control up or down. Absolutely a great pedal

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

Digitech has never failed me, and now with the rp1000 I'm happier than ever. My advice, if you are new at multieffects processors be patient, it does require some time to understand how to use your product, not only this one but boss and line 6 too.

The pedal is very easy to use, just read the manual and really read it. OK maybe you didn't read the manual, download x-edit from their website and it's very easy to adjust the pedal from your computer (be aware you need a cable like the one from your printer which is not included). I have to mention that creating patches and finding your tone requires enough time to tweak all your setting, but trust me, you'll achieve the sound that you want.

So far the pedal has been able to give me every kind of distortion that I want, from bluesy to heavy metal, but again it require twaking the voicing head and cabinet and the distortion pedal. It come with a tone load of effects that I can't even imagine all the solo stuff I can play with.

It also come with a copy of Cubase Le5 which I personally love.

I use this pedal for studio and live performance but I requine two separate sets of patches, one 5 set for live and one 5 for studio since it's not the same when you play through a direct line to the pc to record
