Overview

The Polara's flexible reverbs cover a full spectrum, from the intimate warmth of "Room," to the vast expansiveness of "Hall," through time with the cosmic power of "Reverse," and anchored by Lexicon's revered "Modulated," "Plate" and "Spring" reverbs. In addition to those classics, the Polara introduces the new "Halo" reverb. The "Halo" reverb with cascading octaves interspersed in the reverb decays will cast a heavenly glow over your tone.

Lexicon Reverb Types: Room - Fast decaying reverb; great for a touch of ambience, Plate - Renowned studio reverb found on classic recordings, Reverse - Reverb in reverse; quietly crescendos to full volume, Modulated - Lush modulating reverb ideal for chords, Halo - Shimmering reverb with cascading octave shifts, Hall - Large encompassing reverb with warm decay, Spring - Classic "surf" reverb

With its new, compact size and vacuum-style footswitch, the Polara truly represents the latest evolution in DigiTech pedal design. Digitech has put years of experience into every detail of its mechanical and sonic blueprint.

The Polara offers independent Level, Liveliness, Decay and Type controls; stereo inputs and outputs; a soft-click footswitch; and a reverb tails On/Off toggle switch. It is true bypass, and uses a 9V DC power supply to easily integrate into your existing pedal board.

Comments about Digitech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

I purchased this pedal online for pickup in the store on 14th St. in NYC. I'm a keyboardist so I use this pedal on my MOOG Sub 37. The Halo sound to use on the Moog is phenomenal, I couldn't ask for a better sound to use with my synths. The Halo sound gives it a great spacious sound to add to my synths. When I decide to use the pedal on my Yamaha MOTIF XF8 I usually use the Plate sound on the Rhode sounds. You can hear it on my IG NelsonNewRhodes.

        Excellent Multi-reverb box!

Comments about Digitech Polara Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal:

We'll get past the basics found in the overview and get right into some more of the applications as well as how to tune this pedal in. I've had the Polara since April '15 and have had ample time to try this out in many different situations. This is the first Digitech pedal I have ever wanted outright. I'm running through a H&K Tubemeister 5w Head and an Egnater 112X cab. The spring reverb is what you would expect, and is an excellent emulation of a real spring reverb. When I am running distortion I tend to keep the pedal on plate, room, modulation, or hall. I really like the plate and room reverbs for recording, they have just enough effect to really fill out your sound. If I'm looking for larger spaces to emulate I usually use hall as a go to with distortion, however, the modulation option is excellent for some pretty wild effects that aren't overpowering. Now lets talk about the flagship effects. Reverse and Halo. Reverse is excellent with or without distortion, but the application is pretty specific to a time based modular effect. The Halo is one of the coolest reverbs out there in my opinion. I use it pretty much only in clean mode, I occasionally will put a light overdrive on there-- very rarely though. I use the halo almost excessively because it sounds so good and gives my tone an almost 'angelic' sound. The Polara's controls are very responsive and act accordingly. I've plugged in lap steels, guitars, a bass, and even a Fender Rhodes to get some pretty awesome sounding effects. I would very highly recommend this pedal to anybody looking for something different than the normal multi-reverb effect pedal. Unique, beautiful, and built to last! When it comes to dialing this thing in I usually start with the 'decay' and 'liveliness' with 'level' set right in the middle. Once I find the tone I like I back off or add more of the level to bring the overall effect up or down. Digitech has definitely upped their game!
