Overview

The DigiTech Mosaic Polyphonic 12-String Effect Pedal sets you upon the path of creating lush 12-string sounds with either 6-string electric or amplified acoustic guitars. Immediately identifiable 12-string tones are now yours with octave low strings and doubled high strings. Single notes and full chordal strums shine with polyphonic richness and celestial movement that will inspire you. The Mosaic's balanced low-end response with crisp octave shimmer produces a tone that's lush and articulate, just as with a 12-string guitar.

Tailor the Mosaic's sound with the independent Level and Tone controls. Level will control the 12-string effect intensity while Tone shapes the overall brightness of the effect. The Mosaic will give you a richer, more resonant and full tone than a standard six-string guitar. It is true bypass and uses a 9V DC power supply to easily integrate into your existing pedal board.

I've been waiting for years for someone to invent this pedal. I've always loved the sound of an electric 12-string but haven't been able to afford a good one (and now can't play one easily due to arthritis). The controls are simple...the level controls the amount of twelve string effect in the sound, and the tone controls the tone of the effect only. Using a Strat on the bridge pickup with the controls on the pedal just a little above half-way, I can get a great sound for both strumming and playing single-note fills. Tracking is marvelous...I love this pedal!

I picked this up after seeing the demos and thought what a great pedal to have when gigging "no more double neck back pain"
If you want a quasi 12 string sound at band practice instead of strapping on the double neck this pedal somewhat works.
When played at lower volumes the 12 string effect sound passable, but when you add a little grease and pump the volume the pedals upper tones become overwhelming adding unwanted harmonics that conflict with the notes being played.
This is easily fixed by turning down the level knob to favor the dry signal but then the 12 string effect is dramatically reduced sounding more like a Chorus effect than a 12 string emulation. I gave it three stars because it is useful for creating some cool unusual lead effects.

Comments about Digitech Mosaic 12-String Guitar Effects Pedal:

The Digitech Mosaic does exactly what I bought it for; to sound like a 12 string. I've never owned a 12 string guitar, but wanted the sound. A guitar buddy told me that they are a pain to tune. So, i decided to get the Mosaic as an alternative. My 6 string instantly becomes a 12 string with no perceived signal loss going into an acoustic amp.

Comments about Digitech Mosaic 12-String Guitar Effects Pedal:

This amazing pedal will open musical worlds to you virtually impossible to achieve unless you go out and by a 12 string guitar. This pedal is much more affordable investment and you can create so many textures of sound, it's really is a mosaic for the ears. And it's great if you want play so many classic rock tunes from the Byrds and Petty to Stairway to Heaven. You won't need a Gibson doubleneck as gorgeous as they are!

Comments about Digitech Mosaic 12-String Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is an inexpensive way to get a 12 string like sound, but not a 12 string sound. Very compact, easy to use, but just does not satisfy that real 12 string chime.

Comments about Digitech Mosaic 12-String Guitar Effects Pedal:

The unit sounds good in my rig. I thought the sound was convincing enough that my mind thinks it is playing a twelve strong. Some users commented that a chorus will do the same but I disagree. Love the effect bit not the price.
