This was my first pedal and probably will be the only. The range of effects and details it can do is amazing. It gives you 100 premade combinations on the spectrum, 20 effects, and 20 tones. The best part is making your own. You cycle through each of the settings and customize it very precisely in any way you want. The chorus/FX setting for example has 15 pedals in one ranging from flanger to synth talk. And even each of those has 9 levels of intensity. Want only a little bit of tremolo? Well just set it to 1. The amp/distortion setting lets you choose from 16 kinds of distortion with varying intensities. Equalizer lets u tone up or down the treble, mid and bass. Delay can give u different types of echoes as well. The Reverb setting gives different types of reverb with varying intensity. The drum patterns are great. It also lets u use stereo or mono as seen on the back view pic. Very easy to use overall. Great for all genres because you can customixe every aspect. If you are serious about making your own songs or just want to have fun, this pedal has everything you need!

Ok for authoring your own 50 sounds and effects, I called Digitech and they were about as useful as rope made of tissue paper. They told me the engineer who developed their presets took his list with him and they have no idea what the Factory preset represent. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!

I WOULD CHECK OUT TALKING TO DIGITECH BEFORE PURCHASING ANY OF THEIR PEDALS!

great for $100

By Kevin

from Providence, RI

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

Been playing for over 30 yrs and never used effects pedals for bass. decided to buy this one for the tuner and compression. WOW was i surprised at the cab models and other effects you are able to dial up. it took a little time to figure out the edit function, but it was well worth the time. Great pedal for $100 and the gigging bass player

Very cool effects pedal

By Carol Grado

from Brooklyn

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

This pedal is very cool, with all of the effects you can add to your sound in one small unit. It even came with its own power plug! Thanks for not charging me the extra fee for the power plug! The price was just right too... Where else are you gonna find an effects pedal with over 100 pre set effects,a built in tuner and a wide selection of bass cabinet combinations, all for under $100? Right here in this little baby...

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

I never have put a review out on any piece of gear I have ever purchased in over 20 years, but I felt compelled to do so about the BP90. I read reviews all the time before I make a purchase and look for good and bad honest reviews. I can tell you that the BP90 has studio quality effects that are not noisy at all. I'm not saying this is a great effect pedal that's under $100, this pedal is well worth more than that. It will pay you great rewards for reading the manual.

    Excellent Product

    By Mike Parie

    from Vermont Mountains

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

I got this to try something else, to liven things up a bit. THe unit is only made of a composite material, one would have thought it was a metal housing, regardless its very durable. The drum effects is probably the easist function to change on the unit. The 1st fifty presets you can tweak to your owm likings, the last 50 presets are fixed. To change the settings you really need to understand or read the manual. I have an active bass & by adding this unit, my bass guitar into the amp is so much cleaner & louder [gain]. Its a win win situation

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

I got this for my daughter who is 12 and learning to play bass. The drum machine is great for her to work on scales and finger exercises and all the funky sound effects keeps her interested and gives her some fun things to play with. Not sure it would hold up under tough touring stress but for the price it's a great pedal.

      Great Pedal for the $.

      By Ross Harmon

      from Point Pleasant, NJ

Comments about Digitech BP90 Bass Modeling Multi-Effects Processor:

I wanted to add effects to my playing but was not keen on dragging a pedalboard along with my other gear. This does the trick, plenty of effects and easy to program custom settings, and has the added feature of a tuner and drum machine. For what you spend you get alot features.
