Good for Pros, too!

By hd

Comments about DigiTech BP50 Bass Floor Modeling Pedal:

Pros: -Sounds awesome. -Low price -Easy to program (rtfm!) -Really good presets -Sunn amp modeling actually sounds like a Coliseum/Concert Bass - One of the most usable bass flangers I've ever used -Dual-channel comp. -Battery-operable Cons: -Construction seems frail. -Some FX would be more useful if separated from existing groups and placed differently in the signal chain. -No limiter, but good compressor -Not highly editable, but good. I've been playing over 30 years and have used all kinds of pedals. The Digitech line always sounds good, and I even have a chorus/flange that's 20 years old and going strong. But I doubt the BP50 will. It's a really great-sounding effects unit, but cheap construction has me worried about it failing on a gig. I particularly like the flanger - no lowend dropout, just a nice swirly sound. The amp models are good too - better than most. Despite the cheapness, it's a great piece, inexpensive enough to buy 2 and use one as a backup.

fairly good pedal

Comments about DigiTech BP50 Bass Floor Modeling Pedal:

This pedal is is great for beginners i got one for my birthday and i still use it to practice. Other than that it is more just to tune my bass. but other than the occasional loss of tyming on my part i use very little but it is still the best desicion i made on multi effects pedals.

Very Good For Beginners

By Decayed Bass Player

from Mabank, TX

Comments about DigiTech BP50 Bass Floor Modeling Pedal:

I bought this pedal when I was just starting to play bass. At the time I loved it. But now that i have other pedals I hardly ever use it. It has 80 built in effects but many of them seem to be copys of other effects in the pedal. There was only about 15 effects that I actually enjoyed. All in all for the price this is a good buy for beginners, but for a more experienced musician, you should probably save your money and buy the Digitech BP80

Fairly Decent

By Nick Macioce

from Pittsbrugh, PA

Comments about DigiTech BP50 Bass Floor Modeling Pedal:

For the price, the features are tremendous, but thats for the price. Most of the 80 presets get repetitive but lots of room to "create" new ones. The built-in drum machine is very MIDI like and not a big diversity of beats but can help when practicing alone. Great Price, good features, but not having the express pedal does make it harder for gigging. Chunk out the few extra bucks and get the next version.
