I got this pedal in the mail about a week ago and it's great! The effect I love the best is the effect from voices, number 4 setting I believe. It's really good for it's price and is easy to carry. the only bad thing is that....... I cant even think of anything bad about it! It's great and I'm probably going to buy another pedal shortly.
I've owned the Weapon for 7 months and I'd have to say I'm impressed with the folks at Digitech. I use this pedal in my repitour as my main distortion box. The distortion functions are amazing, the wah is above average, and I use the fade in from sitar to distortion in my original tunes. The only drawback I can think of is the use of the Octave function doesn't let you have distortion with it.
This is a pedal I got for my birthday a year ago, and I love it. You can get awesome effects, distortion, and weird sounds out of this little pedal. It even comes with a Disturbed pick and an AC adapter. The bad thing is that you absolutely can not play it without the adapter. I put in a new battery and it's gone within a matter or minutes. Bad thing is that I lost my adapter. If you can remember to keep up with the adapter, this pedal is alot of fun and has some cool effects on it.
I bought this pedal a week or so ago and am still discovering new dial combos. Very unique sounds, the sitar effect adds a cool touch. Even if you aren't a fan of Disturbed this pedal will still appeal to you.
The Digitech's "The Weapon" is a high quality and very good pedal to add ones collection. One should very carefull with it however since the seven settings pertain to very specific sound types. I tested before I purchased it to make sure it was what i was looking for. It had three distinct distortion settings, each of which are flexible enough to create the sound you are looking for in a metal genre. The ability to seamlessly go from a phase effect to a full on distortion is also very good setting. However, it is once again a very specific function that may not be what you are looking for. The sitar affect is very nice when dialed in. It can ad a very middle eastern flavor to your music as well as anything else you can use a sitar. The wah distortiin is good but can be a bit difficult to get a good sound that is not to piercing or flat for a song. One of setting, which I don't know by name produces what i like to refer to as an "evil sound". This setting does not have as much flexibility in terms of the range in sounds I would like. I.E. it may be to sharp or two low for my taste. The choice in amp greatly affects the sound quality this pedal will give you. It's sound quality is ok when I play it through my crate. However, it sounds significantly better when I play it through my friends Marshall. I would have given it a higher rating in the value area, but i purchased it shortly after its release thus I paid 50 dollars more. I don't use the carry case it comes with or the pick, but I used the power supply it came with to replace the one that went out on my pedal board. Hope this helps.
I've own lots of pedals, but this one blows them all away. With seven distinct signature with plenty of distortion, this is the pedal to have. Heavy duty metal makes it hard to crack or break it. This one pedal can replace four other pedals that you could be looking at, high gain distortion, low gain distortion, chorus, and flanger. I highly recommend picking up Digitech's "The Weapon".
I tried out this pedal the other day and it is amazing! If you play heavy metal than this is the pedal for you. I especially liked the sitar simulator but all the effects are great
