A Bargain at Twice The Price!

By AcoustiSound

from Columbia, MD

Comments about Digital Reference DR-GX1 Dynamic Instrument Microphone:

I grabbed a three-pack sale on these, mostly because I needed some instrument mics fast, and I was pretty tight on cash. I specifically wanted them for things like fiddles, mandolins, guitars and banjos. I've just used them live for both fiddle and mandolin, and wow, did they ever sound sweet. The sound of the fiddle was especially natural, and the player was able to "work" the mic easily and give a very expressive performance. I hope the sale's still on ... I want to buy more!

Comments about Digital Reference DR-GX1 Dynamic Instrument Microphone:

I use the GX1 on snare.I've used SM 57's for years.I still use 57's on toms but I'm thinking of getting a few more for that application. All In all, this microphone is top shelf at any price.I highly recommend it.

great deal for the price

Comments about Digital Reference DR-GX1 Dynamic Instrument Microphone:

I bought this mic as a shot in the dark - I figured if it wasn't up to par for what I needed it for I would pass it along to one of my kids or keep for open mic's/jams. When I plugged it in at practice last night for the first time I was very pleasantly surprised. I used it just for vocals out of curiosity and it responded with a good amount of gain, and a tight focused low end that kept the over all sound free from being muddy or boomy. I would highly recomend this mic to anyone who gigs regularly on the bar scene or anyone that runs or frequents open mic/jams , and doesn't want a high dollar mic vanishing or being abused by the drunken miscreants who think any entertainment available to the public is really all about their karaoke abilities."I paid to get in here and have a good time, bro!"

ADD THIS MIC TO YOUR COLLECTION

Comments about Digital Reference DR-GX1 Dynamic Instrument Microphone:

I was really knocked out by the clean output from this mic! It is very clean and clear. I would seriously reccomend buying 2-3 of these mics for this price. They are great for micing acoutic instruments, percussion, and guitar amps , and with a windscreen to cut down on popping make a very strong vocal mic. I bought one and will be purchasing 2 more. I play alot of shows from small intimate acoustic shows to clubs that draw 500-600 ppl 3-4 times a week and this mic is extremely versatile as well as being extremely affordable.
