  • Total clarity that beats the cable!

    I've owned and used AT for over 10 years now, and just switched to the Digital Reference. I use the DR 3500 for my vocals, and just purchesed the DR 4500 for my guitar with absolutely awesome sound! I have found, with ALL wireless systems, you have to be careful how close the receiver is to your amps as they CAN pick up some noise...but just putting a sheet of foil under it fixes the problem. I'm totally mobile on stage now, with over 80 feet of perfect sound from the receiver. I use them sometimes right on stage and also 50+ feet away in the sound board with no mixed results...for the money, you won't find better! -JJ Spangler aka The Fireman & The Fireman Band

  • They can't be serious? Unusable!

    Have been holding off from buying a wireless instrument system since they have all gone to the 1/8" plug in cable on the transmitter - when I say all, I mean ALL brands have done this. 1/8" is too little surface area inside to maintain a reliable connection, none the less hold up to the riggors of live performance. I broke down and bought this system yesterday. It feels very well constructed so I chose this one. Unpacked it, read the manual, set it up, plugged in the toy cable, turned it on, and WWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE sound comes through the audio into my amplifier. It's the same sound a nearly worn out computer fan makes. No matter what channel you select, no matter how your instrument is grounded, this noise is there. As if that weren't enough, any movement of the body causes snuffling and scritching and popping and sighing sounds to come out of your amp due to the 1/8" plugs poor contact inside the transmitter, on top of the fact that the cable itself is so microphonic that it could not be used for any application. I will try the Sennheiser next.
