A few minor problems

My friend bought this mike about a year ago, and it still works, however, it is, and always did, kid of give us a slightly crunchy/staticy tone. Don't get me wrong, its hardly noticable, but if you are a perfectionist, which I know most musicians are, you might want to look into another mic. Also, one other problem it has is that it has no on/off switch, so unless you have sombody running your soundboard, it can cause a lot of unwanted noise.

Good microphone for the money.

This mic is 100 times better than the SM58, which has remained unchanged for the last 30 years. It has a stronger signal, clearer sound, and fends off feedback better than anything Shure is putting out at this or even twice the price. In addition, microphones with an on/off switch are toys and Radio Shack quality. Professional musicians know that pro microphones do not have an on/off switch. I have never seen a pro level mic with a switch. The only exception being wireless systems. So, stay away from mics that have an on/off switch. They are for Fisher Prize radio recorders.

Great Mic for the Money

Use this for our praise band at Church. Pros-Much clearer and cuts through the mix better than our Shure SM58 and Samson mics at a lower price. Cons-No ON/OFF switch Recommend.
