  • This is a Top Shelf

As reviewed by Martin Parker on 8/18/2008

I use the GX1 on snare.I've used SM 57's for years.I still use 57's on toms but I'm thinking of getting a few more for that application. All In all, this microphone is top shelf at any price.I highly recommend it.

  • A Bargain at Twice The Price!

As reviewed by AcoustiSound on 11/13/2006

I grabbed a three-pack sale on these, mostly because I needed some instrument mics fast, and I was pretty tight on cash. I specifically wanted them for things like fiddles, mandolins, guitars and banjos. I've just used them live for both fiddle and mandolin, and wow, did they ever sound sweet. The sound of the fiddle was especially natural, and the player was able to "work" the mic easily and give a very expressive performance. I hope the sale's still on ... I want to buy more!
