Overview

The DigiTech RP1000 guitar pedal is loaded with over 160 effects and 200 presets giving you a splendid range of tones. With an integrated effects switching system, no longer will you have to do the pedal tap dance-just select your preset and your tone is engaged, just the way you like it. This DigiTech pedal comes with a built-in phrase looper with 20 seconds of record time. You can also route external effects pedals through it using the stompbox loop.

Your Amp
The Digitech RP1000 comes with an Amp/Cabinet bypass switch that allows you to turn off the RP1000's internal amplifiers and cabinets so your amp's tone stands alone.

Simplicity of a Guitar Pedal
Popular on the Digitech RP500, the RP1000 multi-effects pedal also features the pedal board Mode that turns footswitches 6 through 10 into stompbox-style effect on/off controls.

100 different pedal boards
When the Amp/Cabinet Bypass is used in conjunction with the pedal board mode, the RP1000 turns into 100 different pedal boards. You get instant access to both preset changes and stompbox on/off control-truly the best of both worlds.

The DigiTech RP1000 pedal is built like a tank from a cast-metal chassis to the 14 vacuum-style switches. A large 10 character LED display makes for easy stage use topped by a built-in expression pedal to control wahs, volume, whammy, and other parameters.

Your sound is king; the control of your sound is imperative. The RP1000 pedal gives you added control to express yourself the way you want-no longer will the lack of control stand in the way of your expression.

I have used tube amps my whole life (I've been playing for 45 years), and I was loathe to go to a modeling unit, but these days I perform as a single and plug directly into the board and needed a solution to keep the equipment at a minimum. I sold my '68 Fender Super Reverb in order to buy this unit, and not only do I have no regrets, I don;t miss my old amp at all! I just got the unit today, and I plugged it directly into one of my powered speakers to get a sense of it's accuracy. The amp/cab emulation is amazing! I get the same resonance I would expect from the actual amps I selected! As a 60's kind of player, I expect to get certain harmonics from certain amps in an overdrive/feedback situation. This multi-effect delivers! The stomp-boxes are accurate, and the amp models deliver all of the characteristics of the actual amp! I messed around with controlled feedback, and pulling characteristic benefits from the different amp models, and got what I'd expect with the actual amps and effects! That's saying something. Keep in mind, that I am working as a single with pre-recorded back up tracks, but with this plugged directly into one of my Behringer powered speakers, I got the same feel and reaction as I would with the actual amp! The feel and sound are dead on! I have a Marshall Plexi or '65 Twin at the tap of a switch! I will have no problem working with a band with just this pedal board and one of my powered speakers (550 watts, bi-amped). Next task is to plug it in to the mixer and dial it in for use with my back-up tracks. I foresee no issue doing this. I can see why this works so well when used with an amp! And the beauty of this for me is that I can still use my vintage effects via the effects loop, and get all of that great amp emulation into my board! Just about every stomp-box I ever wanted to own is in it, as well as all those great amps I could never actually afford to buy. If you ever wanted an unlimited tonal palette, this is the solution! 'What can I say about this elixir!' (Frank Zappa from 200 Motels) Get one, you won't regret it!

I have been out buying expensive pedals, determined to get the combination of effects and amp tones I crave. Every multi-effects floor unit I've tried to date (name one - I own it or have owned it except this one) always falls short in one or more ways - especially not being able to properly bypass the amp/cab modeling so you can truly use the sound of your own. Line 6 fails miserably at this and so do others. After I saw this unit and it's ability to let me use my Mesa Road King without the processing artifacts, use my must have floor effects and after reading all the positive reviews I was so pumped I almost bought it on the spot... until I saw it had no MIDI connections. What a disappointment. Why do these companies tout that their floor processers are built with the performing musician in mind and then take away such a critical item that many of us need? I have some effects (such as an Eventide Pitch Factor and a Midi controlled switching unit for amp controls) that I need a midi signal from the unit to control these when a preset is switched. SO CLOSE!! Digitech recognized a need that we've all been crying about but took away such an important feature in return! This is their flagship floor processor for pete's sake! I know not everyone needs Midi, but with it, you can have a sequencer like Abelton Live switch your presets for you if you perform in that manner. So many are now a days because full band jobs aren't paying the bills too well. For those who don't think they'll ever need to switch any presets on any other processor, then this unit is probably a 5 star on features. For those of us that do, I would say it's only 2 stars because this comes close to making this unit useless to us no matter how good it sounds.Bottom line is some people will feel that I'm being unfair due to all the capability they put in it. Maybe so... but someone has to be the wheel that squeek to get these manufacturers from cutting such obvious corners and then selling it as a complete performance solution. If these Multi-effect units are ever going to stop being a promise of a solution to our effects and switching nightmares, then they have to stop cutting these kind of corners.

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

I have had this unit for 4 years now, and I swear it took at least 2 to find my tone. Thats not a negative, I just mean as I played with it more and more, my current settings would get replaced by something better, and better, and better, and I am sure I am not done.

Consider this...Go get a pedal, spend 100 cash (Bargain these days), and another, and another, and so on. And then the cables to plug it all in. Thats a ton of cash! This compact device has so many pedals and effects built in for one price made it a no-brainer for me. And as I said, it took a while to dial it in, but that time spent is totally worth the payoff in the end! ....Or in this case...the beginning??? :)

Figure out the dynamics of what this piece of equipment can do and you will be glad you grabbed it. Compact, 1 line in, 1 or 2 (if you wish) lines out , 2 or 3 cables, and a ton of pre-settings at a switch!

......And I havent even thought of adding any stomp boxes to this mix.......yet... Dont need em

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

This really is a great board ! I use it mostly in church so I don't have to worry much about the effects not extending past switching to another. I usually have a set sound or effect for a whole song but even when i do need to switch most of our songs lend themselves to it not being a real problem.
The only other issue is editing...but its not a huge issue...in fact...Digitech is working on support for windows 10 so the software is compatible. until then it does have more limited editing on board.

The sound quality is very nice and there is any array of sounds/effects/pedals/amps etc. that can be used making it very versatile!

The build is insane...id imagine I could run this thing over with a truck and it would still come out fine.
(no dont do it...just a figure of speech) The Metal casing makes it very sturdy.

All in All, This Board has the quality and build that I have com to expect from A Fine Digitech product !
            Great buy !

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

Digitech has never failed me, and now with the rp1000 I'm happier than ever. My advice, if you are new at multieffects processors be patient, it does require some time to understand how to use your product, not only this one but boss and line 6 too.

The pedal is very easy to use, just read the manual and really read it. OK maybe you didn't read the manual, download x-edit from their website and it's very easy to adjust the pedal from your computer (be aware you need a cable like the one from your printer which is not included). I have to mention that creating patches and finding your tone requires enough time to tweak all your setting, but trust me, you'll achieve the sound that you want.

So far the pedal has been able to give me every kind of distortion that I want, from bluesy to heavy metal, but again it require twaking the voicing head and cabinet and the distortion pedal. It come with a tone load of effects that I can't even imagine all the solo stuff I can play with.

It also come with a copy of Cubase Le5 which I personally love.

I use this pedal for studio and live performance but I requine two separate sets of patches, one 5 set for live and one 5 for studio since it's not the same when you play through a direct line to the pc to record

Comments about Digitech RP1000 Guitar Multi Effects Pedal with Integrated Switching:

These products digitally "emulate" real amps. They sound reasonably good when you play alone. Put them in a band's mix and they will destroy the sound. They have a very harsh and top busted sound, specially when playing chords and absolutely no bottom. I'd definitively would recommend for learning and using a bunch of effects, playing alone either through speakers or headphones.
