The DigiTech Hot Head Distortion Pedal is what you want when you need some grit. The multipurpose Hot Head distortion pedal has flexible controls that let you dial in the right tone for your setup. If you want just a little dirt or you need your amp to sound like a raging stack, the DigiTech Hot Head Guitar Pedal can do it. Low and High tone controls give you the flexibility to boost or cut the bass and treble frequencies, the Level knob boosts the output level of your signal, and the Gain knob dials up mild to wild distortion. The Amp output runs into the input of your amplifier and the dedicated Mixer output has a cabinet emulation circuit that lets you run direct into a mixer or recorder when you don't want to lug your amp along.

This is a great all around distortion pedal. Its built extremely tough and reliable and almost seems impossible to break. Its got great crunch and bite to it and the tone is unbelievable. This pedal is great for classic rock to hard rock, and even some metal. This definatly beats the much overrated Boss distortion pedals. Awesome pedal without breaking the bank!!

This pedal gives you great distortion and also very good features but it breaks very easily and is very delicate and fragile so I would not recommend this distortion pedal. The 9v battery holder broke once and the pedal blew after about a month. If you buy this item I recommend you buy the warrenty at least.

I?ve bought the bad monkey overdrive pedal and I really liked it!! So I decided to try the hot head, also from digitech, which is also very nice. They both have a good price and deliver what you need?specially if you have a good amp!!! Awesome for blues and rock n Roll
This pedal is definitely for the metal player. This brings out a HUGE crunch and it makes your ears bleed out of happiness. When i tried it out in shop, I struck one palm muted, open power chord in drop C. The whole place shook. It's an excellent, excellent pedal. If there is one thing i don't like about it is the color is pretty disgusting. The picture of it makes it look a lot lighter than it really is. It's PUKE orange. And just keep it on the ground, i dropped it from about a foot off the ground and it started getting pissy with me and i had to give it a new battery.
I play everything from Led Zepplin to Bullet for my Valentine, and this pedal does it all. This is an unstoppable pedal that can go from screaming distortion to the warm fuzz of the good ol days. It is very sturdy, it gets thrown around a lot in its days with me, and it is still working perfectly! The Hot Head is a steal at this price, it is a must have in a guitarist's pedal arsenal.
I got this pedal for Christmas last year. It is a good distortion pedal. The only problem I have had is that the pedal cannot handle bassy tones from the neck pickup of my Epiphone Les Paul. This is still a good pedal, affordable, and trustworthy. A must buy for a beginning musician. P.S. the batteries die rather quickly so get an adapter.
I just got this and it rocks, I have a marshall amp and it sounds great, if you like heavy metal this is the pedal for you.
This is defiantly a great pedal. The pedal can cover all of my needs from hard head banging metal to soft rock.I personally play alot of AC/DC and if you love AC/DC you'll love this pedal.I recommend this pedal to everyone who loves kickin out the jams!
Before buying this i had owed a Boss DS-1. That was supposedly the best distortion pedal for the price. I had it for awhile and then i got tired of that fact that it kinda lacked something. I decided to go search for a new pedal. I had originally wanted a smash box but heard it wusn't as durable as a boss or Digitech. So i continued searching and came across this one. I wusn't too sure at first for the fact it seemed like an unlikey pedal to fill my needs. I bought one ahveing tried it in a noisy store and played it the second i got home. Boy, thsi pedal rocks. Tonal heaven. Huge variety of tones come outta this thing. All levels of distortion and high and low. Must have for any pedal board.
This pedal has got personality! Hot headed people like myself are infamous for their rapid change of moods. This pedal reflects that by providing any type of distortion from mild and cool to raging and near-violent levels. I couldn't love it more. It's so much nicer looking than those plain BOSS pedals and can give you just about any sound you could ask for. For rock, this pedal can't be beat. Heat up your playing style with the Hot Head, and rock with the rest.
I just got this pedal and already im amazed. My playing style is influenced by non other than the "high voltage" AC/DC and this pedal can pull off every distorted tone AC/DC has in their big balled arsenal. its also can conform to any classic rock band's sound. it can take a fender and make it sound like a distorted gibson. its the best deal on the market for classic rock players.
The hot head is an ok pedal. for the money you spend i thinnk it's woth it but it has somewhat of a fake sound to it.
