Nice pedal,I have been trying to get this sound for many years! I use a Marshall MG-DFX100 amp on the clean channel with my Fender Stratocaster. If you like metal this is the one to get!I can only imagine how crazy the sound would be with a guitar specifically designed for metal.Only one downfall I could find was the battery compartment is kinda tricky to get to as it is under the on/off pedal.I highly recommend this pedal, the morph control is the "beast"!
The price is alo pretty good for the awesome metal sound your going to achieve no matter what amp or guitar you have.Smell the Fuzz!
My best friend owns this pedal, and I use it all the time. I usually play it through a Line 6 Spider II 112, with either a Yamaha Pacifica or an Epiphone G400. It sounds great with both. Turning the Lo control up gives huge bottom end, while the Hi gives screaming tone. The morph control allows for a surprisingly wide range of sounds for a distortion pedal, at a great price. The pedal is also very solidly constructed. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an affordable solution to the typical amp's built-in effects.
I have a Korg Toneworks AX100G, and a Marshall G80R CD. I could never get that heavy metal sound I like..Megadeth, Pantera, Chunka chunka krunch! My Toneworks is ok, I don't play like I used to so it's just a part time hobby now. I was really looking hard at the Bos MT-2 Metal Zone, when I accidentally found this. This not only imitates the MT-2, but even more! I am now officially selling my Toneworks, this one pedal is all I need to play what I play. I wish I would have found this sooner!
The Morph dial is an awesome little knob. You will not belive the different souns you get as you turn it!
I don't know what else to say other than it's built like a tank, and sounds like an attack on a third world country, taking no prisoners. If you don't get one of these, you're not a true metal head!
