Oodles of Sounds

I bought this pedal as a gift for my friend. It has so many sounds its hard to believe. You can get almost any type of distortion out of it. It is definitely a great value. It'll be the last distortion pedal you ever buy.

If God Used A Disortion Pedal...

This distortion pedal is a tank, metaphorically and literally. I've dropped this onto pavement more times than I can count, and I frequently toss this at bandmates when they aren't paying attention (and it works). I've converted all of my Randy Roads worshipping friends glued to the Boss pedals to this, and all it takes is a one-minute demo session. The most impressive of this pedal is the Morph dial, also known as Magic. Imagine your music as an object, a sphere. What the Morph does is it allows you to shape that sphere, which is your music, into any shape (sound) you want. Combined with the Level, Gain, and Tone dials, this baby is unstoppable. The user manual also comes with Dial-Presets to give you an idea of what genre distortion you would get with certain combinations. The pedal also smooths out the sound... my friend's low-budget guitar sings with glory with this (until I take it back). I have also used this with my Yamaha EV-201 Electric Violin, and it sounds amazing to play a guitar solo on it through this pedal. (I must say, it's fun to play the theme to the arcade game Centipede by plugging a bass guitar into this too.) You're getting the highest value, features and quality (rugged structure + pure sound) for a price not even in the triple digits. The DigiTech XHR Hot Rod is waiting for you; GO GET HER-

Great Pedal, Great Savings

I recently bought the DigiTech XHR Hot Rod Distortion Pedal and it was well worth it! I came to the conclusion of buying this pedal after comparing it with others, such as the Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal and the Ibanez DS7 Distortion Pedal. Out of the three, the Hot Rod impressed me the most. It is definitely worth the cost. It produces a low-feedback clear sound and the distortion is absolutely rigid and biting. With the morph dial (which is by far the coolest thing I?ve ever seen on a pedal), anyone can produce enough sound for any genre of music. Basically, it suits any player, whether you are looking for light British-rock, or a heavy punk sound, this pedal has it all! I highly recommend the Hot Rod to anyone looking to improve their overall sound and save tons of money! Rock On!

Excellent Distortion

I don't own this distortion pedal, but I use it at my friend's house almost every day. You can get a lot of distortion out of this. He's had it for over 2 years and hasn't had one problem with it. It's really cool that the instruction book it comes with gives you some ideas for different settings.

Good Lord! What a distortion pedal. Man, I tell you, this is one good pedal. The first time I used it, I cranked up all the knobs, and WOA! What great sound! The DigiTech XHR Hot Rod Distortion Pedal is a very strong pedal, and it has a very good price attached to it. 5 Stars,Man!!! *****
