The Digitech XBW Bass Synth Wah pedal enables you to choose from 7 different bass envelope filter types to create unique and engaging synth wah sounds to fit in any piece. You'll be astounded at the range of smokin' sounds you can get out of this little pedal.
This pedal is very good as far as synth goes. It has a lot of features such as another input for a PA system and octave. There are many types of synth bass on this pedal, but i only found one that I would acctually use. All the other effects would rarely be used. This pedal is good for funk and solos. It gives you a very space-like synth. However, the funky synth is by far the best effect in my opinion on this pedal. It gives you a great Flea sounding slap. It's kind of spendy, but if synth is your kind of thing then I would buy it.

I have owned a lot of bass synth, wah, envelope filter pedals. Mutron, Discumbobulator, Microsynths, SYB-5. The digitech was something I got as part of a trade and I LOVE it. The sounds are very usable. They don't get muddy like many filter types do. There are 7 different settings and they all sounds great. I am amazed with this thing. I have played this with passive precision basses and super acitve (18-volt preamp) basses and it handles them very well. The controls are easy to use, very intuitive and you can get a great sound right from the get go. Highly recommended to anyone that is looking for a great synth type bass pedal.

It is a pretty cool Pedal, some sick effects. It is fun to play some songs with different effects on. my band did Seven nation Army with the envelope filter on. but most of the Effects on here are not useful in a band. On occasion we will play a song with Keytar in it but use the synth from this pedal, and replace it with bass

This pedal has some very basic synth sounds to it. It's a good tool if you want to learn more about using synth, or think you will only use it once in awhile. Anyone looking to play electro-rock or use real, quality synth will not be happy with this pedal. I also experienced a volume drop with my pedal, but that might just have been mine. For not too much more, the Boss Bass Synth provides really good quality bass synth. I ended up buying the Boss not long after getting this one. Do yourself a favor and buy the Boss.

This may be the greatest pedal for anyone who plays funk, rock, jazz, or blues. Rock is my main genre, but I love playing funk just for fun. It's the perfect pedal for getting that Flea/Bootsy Collins funk sound. Also, since it's got seven different effects settings, it allows you to do much more than just that
