DigiTech Vocal 300

I've had the opportunity to use four of these over the last few years, and they're decent overall if you're looking for an affordable multi-effect unit for vocals. Three out of the four of them eventually starting working only once in a while (no output, seemingly at random)... but I can only blame that on a bit of wear and tear. Problem is, it was literally only a "bit" of it. Pretty shoddy casing, etc. Not sure exactly what caused them to stop working, as the usage conditions were rather different. The effects sounds very, very digital and thin. I am, however, not really opposed to that. It's a type of feel that one might even be specifically after. Anyway... yes, pretty average device. Seems to not really have any price range competition.

VX300

I have used this machine and i like it compared to others in it's price range... another good quality, is that it being a foot board instead of a rack mount, that you don't have to mess with a crap load of dials, you just mess with a few buttons and you get the sound that your looking for including the way you can use up to 7 different effects at once you can really make your screams/growls as crazy as you can possibly think. this is a great processor for the price

A good quality unit for vocal improvment

My guitarist has this unit and he always tells me how good it is. With that in mind I decided to test it for myself and I found that he was right. This unit enables you to transform your voice to all sorts of odd types (which can add some unique things to a live show). The unit has adequate compression that will make your vocals cut through the rest of the music on stage. The pitch effects can be used to help hit those otherwise impossible notes expanding the range of songs you can perform. This is a very useful tool that I would highly recommend for stage performers.
