• It works and sounds fine, but it's unusable with only one pedal

  I was concerned that the sound quality of this would be a problem, but it wasn't. What was a problem is that you only have one pedal to work with and they haven't set it up in a way that it's reasonable to think you'll actually be able to control it with just that pedal. You have to tap it twice to stop a loop, but double-tapping while playing is sort of like doing that thing where you rub your belly and pat your head. If you mess up a loop, you have to hold the pedal down to reset it. Which would be fine, but when you press the pedal the loop starts playing again for a couple seconds until it realizes you're trying to delete that loop. So that's not cool either. I played with it for about 10 minutes and it's already back in the box to get returned. I might try their bigger looper with two pedals.

  I went into GC looking to get the Boss RC-2 but the sales man put me onto the digitech. I am glad he did. This little thing is AMAZING and very easy to use. The 10 pre recorded jam tracks and 90 click tracks are worth the price alone. You will be building tracks in no time. If you are looking at this or the boss i will tell you what pushed me in the digitech direction. First, it comes with a power supply. Second, more memory. Third, cool tracks. Finally, i think the sound quality is better. I ended up trading the solo in for the stereo model because i was really getting into this looping thing and figured i could use the extra features of the stereo model. Both are great well built machines. If you are a developing player without a regular group to play with you MUST get a looper. They are so much fun to jam with and allow you to put your theory into action. Next to an axe and amp this should be one of your first gear purchases if you practice alone.

• Awesome Pedal

  The Jam Man is definitely worth its price. Unfortunately, all of my friends where I live now don't play any instruments so it's hard finding people to jam with. With this pedal I am able to loop back many bass, acoustic, and electric tracks so that i can create new music by myself (sad, but a good temporary fix) What's ever better is that I am able to hook up my Roland TD9s electronic drum set and record multiple drum tracks into my loops. With 99 tracks and the computer software, i am able to create more tracks than I imagine and import them onto my Ipod to listen back to later and develop new parts to. Basically i can use it as its own recording studio when i want. I highly recommend this pedal.
