Tune with confidence.

The DigiTech Hardwire Series HT-2 is a chromatic tuner pedal that is visible, accurate, and durable when in use; transparent when not. The cornerstone of every pedalboard is a reliable tuner. The HardWire Chromatic Tuner's true bypass means that when it is off, it's out of the circuit. With the DigiTech Ht-2 tuner you can tune with confidence, using tone with integrity.

The DigiTech HardWire pedal series represents DigiTech's commitment to quality and attention to subtle details. In addition to technical enhancements like true bypass and high voltage operation, all HardWire pedals feature rugged, all-metal construction; a wide, stage-stable footprin; durable, custom-machined metal knobs for a sure grip; and precision potentiometers that guarantee knob positions will stay intact.

The rugged, durable construction of Extreme Performance Pedals is just the beginning. Inside each DigiTech HardWire pedal are technological features that serious players require—all updated and improved to their utmost capacity. True bypass preserves the purity of your original tone as signal passes through the pedal, and high voltage operation further protects your sound by eliminating clipping and other signal degradation caused by power drain.

With the high-output pickups found on some electric guitars, it's not unusual to hear clipping when playing through an effects pedal. This occurs when the voltage range produced by a guitar's pickup is greater than the operating voltage of the effects pedal—normally limited to the voltage supplied by the effect's battery or power supply. HardWire pedals incorporate circuitry that increases the operating voltage headroom above that of the typical pedal. As such, HardWire pedals benefit a wider range of guitars and are also at home in an amplifier's effects loop.

  • a must have for live performances

As reviewed by Jackson Scott on 5/17/2010

My band has played a few small gigs trying to tune by ear off of a keyboard, and this is never a great idea. you risk human error and the guitars go out of tune during the show either by being bumped or on their own. And although switching back and forth from drop d seems simple, when your on stage and 3 guitars are all trying to tune down at once it gets very hard and looks unprofessional. I use this pedal alot for its mute feature alone that way you can step on it and then switch guitars without going back and turning your amp off. My only trouble with it is sometimes tuneing the E or B string on my basses gets tricky. you must be carefull to not play natural hermonics. sometimes i just tune it on the 12th fret or 5th fret but if your neck is at all warped you still wont be perfect. over all very handy.

  • Excellent tuner

As reviewed by Chris Mentesana on 3/22/2010

I have been playing guitar/bass for 28 years, and this is the best tuner I have ever had. It is accurate, and holds your note for a long time. Anyone who has had chromatic tuners in the past know what I am talking about. When you hit you note and after a second or so the light bounces all over the place and you have to hit the note again, This thing, you hit it once and it holds long enough for you to fine tune your instrument. Highly recommended. Only suggestion to make it better is to include a built-in microphone to tune an acoustic guitar with no electronics.

  • Good Pedal

As reviewed by Rich P. on 2/2/2010

This is a very easy to use Chromatic tuner. There are two modes of view when tuning, the normal mode or strobe mode make everyone happy with the way you tune. There are notes to the far side that indicate one half step down or a whole step down. This is a big plus when you are using alternate tunings. Easy to read display and very bright for low light settings. I do hear a slight buzz in my amp when tuning though as there may be something in my pedal that is funny but not so much to bother me.
