  • Outstanding pedal

As reviewed by Nick on 1/31/2011

I primarily play post-rock music and needed a good reverb other than the spring reverb on my Fender amp. This pedal definitely delivered that, with 7 different reverb types and the ability to change the wet/dry mix, tone, and decay. I am very pleased with it, its control over the reverb, and the sturdiness of the pedal. I would heavily suggest it to anyone who is looking for a reverb pedal!

  • It's an "OK" Reverb Pedal

As reviewed by S. on 9/4/2010

I have owned this pedal for a few years. Its still works great, not a bad sounding reverb in general. Plenty of options and ways to tailor the reverb to your tastes. I would recomend a reverb pedal that has options, not just a straight SPRING reverb pedal. Your mood changes and this pedal will allow you to dial in a suitable reverb for anything. It DOES however color your sound. It seems to add some midrange which may be fine for you but I prefer getting my amp tone perfect and then having a smooth blend of Verb trailing off. OF course adding a longer decay time will also decrease your volume as with most reverb pedals. For the most part, this pedal is very nice but I would suggest the Hardwire series if you can spend a few more dollars.

  • all about the overkill

As reviewed by Dick Pierce on 4/16/2007

I bought this pedal after getting a brand new credit card. It didn't really help that i had a show to play that night, wanted reverb for it and the store was closing in 15 minutes. So, you could say, it was an impulse buy. It has every reverb that you could possibly want or need (except maybe for a tape style echo effect) but you'll probably never use most of them. I have a 1970's Music Man head and have owned a Marshall as well. Both heads came with no reverb. I had the Marshall back in the late 80's when the only external reverb options were rack mounts that cost $300+ at the time. They've come down in price and size since then. I *&$#ed around with the pedal at the store until they were about to kick me out. I figured that with all of the features it has I'd be able to tweak it as much as necessary with a little practice, so I bought it. The problem is that you can't get your basic, run of the mill spring reverb sound. Everything sounds like you're playing in a cathedral or something. It's just too freakin' wet no matter what you set the mix at. So if you want a good spring reverb sound you'd better make sure you get one with yer amp. If you already have spring reverb and want a little flexibility, then this pedal might be for you. BTW, the reverse verb sound is really cool. Just stock up on batteries, 'cause this sucker eats one every 4 hours or so.
